Alt Character Setup And Deletion
One of the most important decisions you’ll make in Odin Valhalla Rising is your starting class for your main character. Based on this class, you’ll want to select the correct class for your alts from the very beginning.
Let’s assume you picked the Warrior class for your character. What you’ll need to do is also select the Warrior class for all your alts.
The subclass like Defender and Berzerker really does not matter. It’s just the main class needs to be the same across the board.
We’ll discuss the reason for this in detail later on in the guide.

If you regret this decision, you might want to reroll your character. Unfortunately, this is not an easy process for Japanese servers.
Starting off, you will need to reach Level 50 with your character to unlock the option to delete. This is a really time consuming and grindy task. On top of that, there are specific cooldowns after deletion before you can make a new character.
You can see what the cooldowns are after each consecutive deletion.
Alternatively, if you go 60 days without logging into your account, this cooldown timer will reset back to the lowest of 3 days.
The reason this cooldown exists is because farming with alt characters can give you a huge advantage which can be potentially abused.

Shareable Resources
Now that we understand how alt characters work in Odin Valhalla Rising, let’s see what benefits they bring. Starting off, we’ll examine what resources are shareable between your main character and alts.
In general, most items like Mounts, Avatars and Weapons are all shareable between your main character and alts. Additionally, most of the gacha items are also shareable across them. This includes shop purchases like daily gacha draws.
On top of that, you can also share Gold and Diamonds.
Using the Warehouse system, you can also share unbound items between characters. Keep in mind that certain items will be character bound, which cannot be shared.
Certain currencies like tokens and guild coins, alongside mission progress and achievements are not shareable between characters.

Alt Benefits
Based on the shareable items, we will now see what benefits the alt characters offer. The main reason for this revolves around the gacha system.
Since gacha tickets can be shared across characters, every single one you use on alt characters increases your chances of getting avatars. You can then equip them on your main character – which is only beneficial if your alt characters have the same class.
Another great benefit is chest collection. With each alt, you can gather all available chests scattered in the map, allowing you to maximize your rewards beyond what one single account can accomplish.
There is even an achievement linked to Chest Collection, so you’ll be able to get extra tickets as a reward by having multiple alts.
Furthermore, having alts of the same class grants them higher passive knowledge and CP from the main character. You can also transfer weapons, mounts and avatars from your mains, helping your alts synergize more efficiently.
You’ll have a much easier time farming with your alts this way.

Daily Missions And Dungeons
Each alt account comes with their own set of daily missions. So, in this way, you will be able to complete and refresh daily missions on each account every single day.
This will give you resource materials, viable items and specific coins needed for acquiring more avatars. Doing so consistently will allow you to accumulate material, gold and gear, some of which is shareable. You can even use the gear for collection bonuses and achievements.
You’ll be able to use the additional currency from your alts to purchase mounts, avatars and weapons for your main account. In essence, you will be able to boost your progression and power growth by a lot.

All your alt accounts can also participate in daily dungeons. This can get a bit overwhelming, but the time you invest is more than worth it.
Dungeons with Gold and XP rewards are crucial for leveling up your alt. This is especially if you want to hit the Level 50 requirement and delete them for a better class. You can also use the additional gold for your main character.
Additionally, there are Dungeons that provide you with Upgrade Materials for Gears and Skills. Some of these resources can be transferred to strengthen your main character.
You can complete both the weekly dungeons and 8 hour dungeons on your alt characters. This can give you a huge boost in progression and power.

Crafting Materials And Collection Boosts
Your alt characters will also accumulate a significant number of crafting materials that are not shareable. Since these characters will benefit from your main character’s passive CP boost, they will not require extensive gear upgrades.
So, you can use the non shareable materials for your alt to upgrade the White and Green rarity items beyond Level 6. It’s an efficient way to work towards rare collection items, without wasting viable resources on unnecessary upgrades.
Additionally, instead of transferring all items through the Warehouse system, you can consider selling some excess ones for Diamonds.

Achievements, Guild Rewards And PvP Rewards
There are achievements that you can complete on each alt account – which net you some great rewards. Luckily, you can complete these achievements again, allowing you to get the rewards repeatedly.
These rewards can be pretty substantial, especially the gold.
Furthermore, you can also assign your alt characters as separate members within a guild. This allows them to participate in guild activities, like dungeons. In this way, you can accumulate Guild Coins for viable purchases at the shop.
On top of this, PvP offers its own set of achievement completion and weekly rewards for each character.

Events
There is an aspect related to Events that not a lot of players know about in Odin Valhalla Rising. Typically, rewards from Events are not always shareable.
Occasionally, special events will boost rare synthesis rates or increase your chances of rare and above items after you combine Avatars, Mounts and Weapons.
So, if you’ve been stockpiling blue rarity Avatars on your alts, hold off on synthesis until these special events. Doing so will significantly increase your chances of getting higher tier gacha rewards.
As a free to play player, this is probably the most significant benefit of alts.
While this strategy has not been confirmed yet, it has been discussed as viable on many Korean forums so far.

That’s everything you need to know about using your alt characters for farming in Odin Valhalla Rising.
