Pilgrammed has some bosses that you can fight. These bosses have a lot of different attack patterns that you will have to watch out for because they can deal a lot of damage. One of those bosses that are hard to beat is Sailord (yes that is his real name). Sailord is a sailor that wields a large anchor as his main weapon and he will swing that thing around until he hits you. If you are having a hard time fighting Sailord, then maybe this guide can help you.
Sailord Complete Guide – Pilgrammed
How to Beat Sailord
When fighting Sailord, you will notice that he is very aggressive. As soon as the fight starts, he will literally hit you with a 3 piece combo. Even after the end of that combo, he will keep coming after you until you are dead. So how can you retaliate? Parrying and dodging are your friends in this fight against Sailord.
Sailord does attack very frequently, but he has a few second opening after each attack combo that leaves him open. Your goal is to hit him during this opening. That’s why it’s important to parry and dodge his attacks. If you are too far away and try to attack with range attacks, then he will just simply chase you down. Being close to Sailord is, ironically, the best way to stay alive. But that is only if you know how to parry and dodge.
Even if you can attack from afar, Sailord will also attack you with range attacks by smashing his anchor to the ground and throwing small waves of water at you. There is also an attack that you will have to dodge because it cannot be parried. If you try, then you will take massive damage. Sailord does a move where he spins around after two attacks and performs an AoE attack. Again, cannot be parried and needs to be dodged.
Once you deal enough damage, Sailord becomes more aggressive and his attacks deal more damage. His attacks also become bigger and better, meaning that you will have to rely more on your parry and dodge skills. However, there is one attack that he performs that can be annoying because it is hard to react in time. If you get hit, do not worry, it is not the end. Just make sure that you heal yourself when you do get hit.
It’s easy to get nervous during Sailord’s second phase because of his tenacity and ferociousness. You will need to stay calm, because parrying and dodging his attacks will be twice as hard if you are getting nervous.
