Sakura Stand is a Roblox experience heavily inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, as well as various other anime and manga franchises. In the game, players collect all sorts of fighting styles taken from said franchises and battle with one another using epic abilities. Recently, the developer released a statement that could spell the end for the game, but is it really over?
Developer Releases a Statement
Just a couple of days ago as of writing this, the sole developer of Sakura Stand, FATE posted a statement on the official Discord server claiming that he is stepping away from the project and working on a new game.
Judging by the message (image of the statement below), it seems that he was burnt out by the amount of pressure put on him by the community and all the expectations they had for the game.
Despite this, he also stated that he will occasionally still be updating the game, though as to how often they will get involved remains vague.
Players should try not to worry too much, however, as an announcement was also made stating that a different team of developers will continue working on the game for the foreseeable future.
Several hours after the former developer’s statement, another announcement was posted stating that various reworks and new systems were coming to the game, though players will have to wait until early 2024 for these to come out.
Nobody knows for sure if the game will continue to prosper during the period when no updates will come out, but for now, players still have something to look forward to despite the former developer’s departure.
