Residence Massacre has brought some new updates for the upcoming Halloween Season. As if the game wasn’t scary enough, the new update brings a few challenging and creepy additions to the gameplay. Of course, there are some fun additions too that fans have appreciated quite a bit.

The new update has also added badges that you can earn for completing challenges related to the Halloween update. In this guide, we will show you what you need to do to earn all the Halloween Badges. We will also provide tips and tricks so you can earn the most difficult ones.

All Halloween Badges Guide | New Update

Some of the Halloween Badges are a lot more difficult to obtain than others. This is because some of them add additional requirements where you will need to survive the nights as monsters come for you. So, be prepared for quite a challenge and repeated tries for some of these badges.

Pumpkin Smasher Badge

Getting the Pumpkin Smasher Badge is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is smash 7 Pumpkins that spawn all around the map.

You can find plenty of them around the area outside the house. Additionally, you can also find some inside the house, including the attic.

Smashing the pumpkins gives you some interesting items which are randomized. You can get useful items like hammers, candy corn, Witch Brew Cola, or Flashlight Battery.

However, there are some damaging items too like a green fart gas that will damage the player.

If you can’t find more than 7 pumpkins, you will need to join another match and smash the remaining Pumpkins. This will grant you the Pumpkin Smasher badge.

Brew Enjoyer Badge

To obtain the Brew Enjoyer Badge, all you need to do is drink 3 Witch Brew Colas. Witch Brew Colas can be obtained by smashing pumpkins.

However, you only have a chance to obtain a Witch Brew Cola from Pumpkins as there are various other items you can get.

Because of this randomization, you will likely need to smash Pumpkins in multiple matches until you have 3 Witch Brew Colas.

Once you have them, simply drink them to get the Brew Enjoyer Badge. The Witch Brew Colas enlarge the player’s head temporarily and give the player a boost.

Backyard Curse Badge

The Backyard Curse Badge can be obtained by clicking on the three Tombstones at the back of the house. These tombstones will have nothing on them, but after you click them, they will say RIP.

If you are in a Solo, you can get the badge by clicking all of them yourself.

However, if you are playing with other players, then they will also have to click on the tombstones that do not say RIP.

Once this is done, the screen will become grayish, and you will hear a loud bell ring. The words ‘This is going to be a terrible night…’ will appear on screen.

This is a cue to let you know that there will be 3 zombies that will spawn in the night. They will break down the door as the Night progresses and inflict damage. You will also need to survive the monster that spawns at night as well.

Once you have survived the night, you will get the Backyard Curse badge.

However, this Night is extremely difficult as you will need to navigate zombies while keeping the Monster at bay.

So, we recommend that you have some friends playing that are experts at the game. After that, you can have 2 above and 2 below to keep the monsters and zombies at bay.

Even then, you might need a few tries to survive the Night. Once you do survive the night, the Backyard Curse Badge will be yours!

Sweet Tooth Badge

To obtain the Sweet Tooth Badge, you need to eat 8 Candy Corns. You can get some Candy Corn by smashing Pumpkins although this will be up to your luck. At max, you should be able to get 2 Candy Corns from here.

The main method of getting Candy Corn is by scaring the monster at night. Scaring the monster once will drop one Candy Corn that you can pick up.

The best way to get Candy Corn is by playing with friends so you can scare the monsters as many times as possible.

Typically, the monster will spawn 5-6 times during a Night. You can use this opportunity to scare them and get Candy Corn with your friends’ help. Just make sure that they don’t steal your Candy Corn!

When you eat Candy Corn, your stamina bar is filled up instantly. This can be incredibly useful during your Nights! Once you have eaten 8 Candy Corn, you will get the Sweet Tooth Badge.

Spirit Helper Badge

Last but not least, we have the Spirit Helper Badge. This is by far the most difficult badge to obtain in the new Halloween Update. Check out this Complete Spirit Helper Guide for more comprehensive tips!

Start by playing the game as normal and progressing through the Night. Wait for the clock to hit 3am.

This is because at 3am a ghost will spawn into the game. You will know that the ghost has spawned when you hear a scary ‘ooo’ sound of a ghost.

When you hear this sound, it means the ghost has spawned outside the house. Specifically, it has spawned outside in the street.

Immediately leave the house through the front door and go across the street. You should find a ghost sitting on the ground.

Interact with the ghost and he will ask you for help in setting his spirit free. You will get the option to Accept or Decline this offer.

Choose the ‘Accept’ option and the ghost will thank you. After that, the game will load you into another game.

In this game, you will need to survive the night until 6am. Surviving the Night will grant you the Spirit Helper badge.

However, this is easier said than done as this Night is incredibly challenging. It is recommended that you have good headphones with high sound as you will depend a lot on sound cues

You will also need to keep an eye on the sanity represented by a brain in the bottom right corner. When the brain starts to get red, it means your sanity is lowering. If it gets too low, you will fail the Night.

This is where the Teddy Bear and Lamp come in. Interacting with the Bear and Lamp will help raise your sanity. Be careful, though. If you keep the Lamp on for too long it will go out.

You also need to be mindful of the Alarm Clock, as it will start ringing every 10 minutes in game.

When it rings, it will start lowering your sanity. So, you want to be ready to turn it off the moment it starts ringing. The quicker you close it, the better.

The monster will appear only in the closet, door, vent and window so keep a close eye on all these spots.

He will also have three phases in which he slowly reveals himself in these locations. In the third phase, the monster will reveal its face, eyes or teeth.

In the third phase, you need to hide under the bed as quickly as possible. Even if the alarm clock rings, do not leave the bed until the monster has left.

After he leaves, leave the bed and turn the alarm clock off if it’s ringing. Also, check the closet door right after leaving your bed.

However, do not check the closet door if you hear scratching as it means the monster will attack you.

You basically need to cycle through all these steps while regularly using the Lamp and Teddy bear to lower your Sanity.

Focus is needed as there are so many steps that you need to take care of. However, being mindful of these tips and practice will allow you to get the hang of it.

Once the clock hits 6am, you will have survived the Night. After a creepy animation at the end with the Spirit thanking you, you will obtain the Spirit Helper Badge.

That’s everything you need to know about getting all the Halloween Badges in the Residence Massacre game. Some of these badges are extremely challenging and will require multiple attempts from you. Keep the tips we have given in mind and with practice, you should be able to obtain them!
