Resident Evil 4 Remake is another remake from the Resident Evil franchise by Capcom. It is the fourth remake of the mainline Resident Evil games and fans are very much hyped for this game, as it is a reimagining of the 2005 classic. While waiting for the game, Capcom was generous enough to show fans a glimpse of what is to come with the Chainsaw Demo that released a couple of days ago. What many don’t know is that the game is chock full of secrets, and this is one of them.

Inputting the Mad Chainsaw Mode Code
With Resident Evil 4 Remake being under two weeks away, many people are having a blast playing through the demo, despite its short duration. Some are even discovering secrets that only true Resident Evil fans will find, and one of those requires the Mad Chainsaw code!
In the demo, there is a secret difficulty called Mad Chainsaw Mode. Everything is turned up to 11 and you can only play this difficulty in the demo. Sure, the official game will have something more difficult, but this is what we have for now. Unfortunately, the Mad Chainsaw Mode will only show up on random times when you start a playthrough of the demo, so it’s not a selectable difficulty. Until now.
Steam users were able to discover a secret that requires the help of a small input code. If you were to highlight the Main Game and hold L1 and R1 (RB and LB on Xbox) and press Up, Left, Down, Right, Square, Triangle, Circle, X, X (Up, Left, Down, Right, X, Y, B, A, A on Xbox), you will be able to activate the Mad Chainsaw Mode.
This won’t permanently unlock Mad Chainsaw Mode, but it is better than having to rely on luck to get it. There is unfortunately no news about the necessary controls on mouse and keyboard, but I’m sure that will show up in no time.
