There’s a brand new game mode in Secret Staycation in the form of Hide and Seek. As your favorite food item, you can hide anywhere on the map before the Detective tries to find you. It is a really cool mode that tests your ability to hide in the map.
But you may be wondering what are the best places to hide in the game. After all, you may have noticed some players somehow reaching the top of the shelf. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can do so and show you additional top hiding places. Let’s get into it!
Best Top Hiding Places
In total, we’ll be looking at a total of 8 Hiding Places that you can find in Secret Staycation. There are likely more too, and we recommend that you explore to find more of these too! Having a variety of food items in your collection will definitely help in the hide and seek mode. So, check out our guide for all the foods in Secret Staycation, so you can use it!
Hiding Place #1 – Top Shelf
Starting off, when you spawn in the Secret Staycation hide and seek map, make your way towards the supermarket coolers. At the bottom of one of them, you’ll see a blue bucket with a small ramp that goes to the cooler.
Jump on the bucket and walk up the ramp.
After you do so, make your way to the right where you’ll see a choco bar forming another ramp. Do not cross this bar to the other cooler. Instead, simply stand on it and face towards the cooler.
Once you’re on it, slowly start walking up the cooler. The sides of the cooler act like a ramp and you’ll slowly start making way up, almost like magic!
Keep walking up until you reach the top of the cooler.
Once you’re here, look right across the cooler towards the supermarket shelves in Secret Staycation. After that, jump towards the shelves as high as you can.
You should be able to land on the top shelf by doing so. Now, all you need to do is hide among the items there and you’ll be virtually undetectable from below! No detective is going to be able to find you here.
Hiding Place #2 – Middle Shelf
There is another similar hiding place in Secret Staycation that you should try out too. For this one, make your way to the bucket again and climb up the cooler. However, this time, you can cross the choco bar to the next cooler.
Once you’re on the next cooler, make your way to the right and you’ll come across another ramp. Get on top of this ramp and start walking slowly towards the cooler.
You should start climbing it in this way. Keep climbing it until you reach the top of the cooler.
After you’re here, look across towards the opposite supermarket shelf again. You should be able to see some spray bottles there.
Jump towards this shelf and you’ll land in the middle of the shelf. Here, you’ll see that there are some washing powder packets.
You can make this hiding spot even better by hiding among the washing packets. Being a food item that is relatively small and thin can help – like the Mamesuke.

Hiding Place #3 – Behind Magazines
For this next hiding place in Secret Staycation, you’ll be going to the other side of the supermarket. Here, you should see a bottom shelf that has an umbrella leaning into another shelf.
Go up this umbrella as it forms a ramp.
When you’re at the top of the umbrella ramp, look behind you where there are some magazines on the shelf. You should be able to notice a small gap behind them.
Jump behind this gap and you’ll find yourself behind the magazines. Having a small food item like the Chicken Nugget will help as it can fit behind. It’ll also camouflage with the color of the shelf.

Hiding Place #4 – Behind Bottom Shelf Ramen Cups
The next hiding place in Secret Staycation is actually in the same supermarket aisle as the previous one. Near the umbrella, you’ll see an upside down box with a chips packet that forms a ramp.
Next to the chips, there will be some ramen cups on the bottom shelf.
Your goal is to jump on top of the lone ramen cup. There is a small gap above it where you should try to land. You will need to jump multiple times until you are able to get it right.
Luckily, since it’s on the bottom shelf, you should have plenty of time for multiple tries. Having a small food item like the chicken nugget also helps.
Once you’re on top of the ramen cup, you’ll see there is another small gap that you can squeeze through behind the ramen cups. Try to jump through it and you’ll find yourself right behind the ramen cups.
There are so many cups and you should be able to blend behind them pretty easily!
Hiding Place #5 – Top of Supermarket Cooler
This hiding place in Secret Staycation will already be familiar to you. For this one, you’ll be transforming into a Pineapple as it makes this hiding spot more convenient.

Once you’re the pineapple, simply climb on top of the cooler using the blue bucket at the bottom.
After that, make your way to the small ramp to the right that leads up the cooler. Be careful at this part as the hitboxes of the pineapple will make this part a little more difficult.
When you’re on this ramp, start slowly climbing up the cooler. When you reach the top, angle the pineapple so that its curve aligns with the top of the cooler. It’ll almost fit perfectly there.
Now all you need to do is stay here and it’s likely no one will even spot you since you’re so high up!
Hiding Place #6 – Middle Shelf Ramen Cups
For this next hiding spot in Secret Staycation, you’ll be heading to the other aisle opposite of the coolers. Once you’re here, go towards the chips packet that forms a ramp on the box. Get to the top of this box.
After you’re here, look towards the opposite shelves and to the left. Your target is the final shelf in the aisle that ends at the wall.
Jump towards this shelf from the edge of the box.
If you jump right, you should end up in the middle shelf where there are some ramen cups. Now all you need to do is squeeze yourself between the cups and you have a really great hiding spot!
Hiding Place #7 – Top of ATM Machine
The next hiding place in Secret Staycation is a really unique one. Start by heading towards the ATM machine that can be found near the table.
Turn right from the ATM machine and you’ll find yourself behind the table. Here, there will be a cat magazine that forms a ramp against the chair.
Climb up this ramp all the way to the top of the table. Once you’re on top of the table, make your way towards the table corner that is nearest to the ATM.
Jump off the corner and try to land on top of the ATM.
Once you’re here, all you need to do is stand near the screen and chill. No one’s going to expect someone hiding here!
Hiding Place #8 – Shampoo Bottles
The final Secret Staycation hiding spot we have for you is in the same aisle as the cooler. Right across from the cooler, you should be able to see another ramp.
This ramp leads into the supermarket shelves and is made up of some tissue boxes. Climb up this ramp to the shelf with more tissue boxes and shampoos.
Walk towards the shampoo boxes that say Hair Pro on them. Your goal will be to jump right on top of them.
When you jump on top of them, you should be able to lie in the small gap above them. Having a small food item like the chicken nugget helps as you’ll be thin enough to not be noticed!
