Boss fights aren’t meant to be easy but sometimes, they can be confusing. This is especially true if the game throws in an entire dungeon between you and the boss fight. There are traps, alternate routes, and even mini-boss battles along your way, and you can easily get lost.
In Slap Battles, the new Guide Boss Fight is one of the hardest ones in the game. Not only do you have to defeat them, but you have to go through a gauntlet of trials first. That’s why you should know what to do so you can beat it on your first try!
In this guide, we’ll show you how the entire boss fight works, how you can get to the boss, and some tips and tricks along the way. Now, let’s see what this boss has in store for us!
How To Easily Defeat Guide Boss First Try + Tips & Tricks
If you want to beat the Guide Boss in Slap Battles you’ll first need to know how to get to it. There is an entire dungeon that you’ll have to go through and each area has its mechanics you’ll need to overcome.
Boss Area Start
At the start of the boss dungeon, you’ll need to pull the lever to the right of the large door as shown below. It’s important that as you open the door you go through it as quickly as possible. That’s because a giant skull will run after you and you will die if it touches you.
Once you’re going through the corridor, you’ll see a branching path at the end. Take the right path to continue through the dungeon.
Golem Fight
Once you’re done with the entrance, you’ll see this Obby with a golem in the middle. The Golem will try to attack you so be careful and keep an eye on him. You can lure the golem inside one of the pillars and he can get stuck there as shown below.
To get out of this room you’ll need to jump up using the pillars until you reach the top and back of the room.
Make sure to not fall and to not get hit by the Golem or you might lose too many hearts. If that happens, you’ll have to redo it again from the start.
Jumping Obby
Once you’ve gone through the Golem room, you’ll then see the room as shown below. It’s another jumping Obby and this time there are 3 exits. Each exit has its minigame when you enter it, and we’ll want to go to the middle one since it’s the easiest.
You can use the path as shown below, just don’t step on the banana peels or you’ll fall!
Flamethrower Hall
Once you go to the central path past the Jumping Obby, you’ll see this corridor with flamethrowers. There’s no time limit here, so just be patient and make sure to jump and go through the area carefully. Getting hit by the fire will damage you of course so avoid that!
Potato Lord Mini Boss Fight
After going through the Flamethrower Hall, you’ll then need to head to the only mini-boss in the area. There, you’ll find the Potato Lord, and you should just rush towards him and slap him. Make sure to time your slaps right and get him when he slows down.
After defeating the Potato Lord, you’ll go through the most annoying part of this dungeon.
Maze Area
The next area is a maze, and it’s long and complex. To help you with traversing the maze, you can go to the right after you leave the Potato Lord Room. There you’ll find an Among Us Car.
Only one person can ride it but if you’re at a party everyone can just hop on top of it.
The maze has a lot of twists and turns as well as dead ends. To make things easier here are the instructions you’ll need to go through from the Potato Lord Room:
You’ll need to go Left, Right, Right, Straight to the end, right, left, left, straight to the end, left, right, second left, left, right, right, right, left, straight to the end, left and then right.
You’ll know when you’re at the end when you see this entrance as shown below.
Extra Heart
After the maze, you’ll see this grand hallway, before you go straight to the boss head to the left. There you’ll find a door that leads to a spiral staircase going down.
Head down the staircase and then go to the end of the path where you can find another heart. This will increase your total hearts to 4 and will make it a bit easier when you fight the boss.
Full Heal Before Boss Fight
After obtaining the bonus heart, you’ll want to go back up and then head to the house. Instead of going inside go to the back of the house.
There, you’ll find a cube that will fully heal you, you should take this when you’ve taken damage before getting here.
Now that you’re in full health, go inside the house and then get ready to flip the switch on the wall to start the boss fight. Make sure that you have all the players inside the house before you flip the switch. Any player caught outside when you activate it will die.
Guide Boss Phase 1 And 2
When you start the boss fight, you’ll need to learn a few mechanics and hazards to survive. The boss has 3 phases and in the first two phases, you’ll be fighting the Slapstratctor.
The first hazard is these minions that will follow you around and try to slap you. Make sure to clear them out since they’ll die on one hit.
The next hazard you’ll need to know is the walls that move around the arena. They’ll constantly spawn and will try to push you off the edge. Make sure that you stay clear of these.
The next hazard is important since this is your way to defeat the Slapstractor. It will send out homing gloves at players, and you’ll need to slap them to send them back to the enemy. When it’s sent back, it’ll damage them.
Another hazard to avoid is the arrows and tentacles as shown below. The arrows will make you jump further in that direction when you jump over them. The tentacles will follow after the arrows disappear, slamming anything in a line.
Remember the golem from before? He’ll be in this fight too. Make sure to have one player act as bait while the others slap it.
Lastly, you’ll have explosions falling from the sky. They’ll appear as shadows with a red circle growing bigger in the middle. Avoid standing on them when the circle fills the shadow since it’ll explode!
When you reach 40% of the HP of the Slapstrator, then Phase 2 will begin. It’s just like Phase 1 but everything is faster, there are more spawns and tougher enemies!
Guide Boss Final Phase And Choice
When you finally defeat the Slapstractor, a short cutscene will play that will show the Guide Boss. That’s where you finally fight him. Make sure that you don’t go full offensive, since the Guide can give you a 2-hit combo from time to time.
When you’re down to two hearts or less, then go on a defensive, dodging the hazards and the boss until you get your health back!
When you finally defeat the boss, another cutscene will play that will give you a choice that says, “Will You Spare Guide?” This will lead you to two different endings, and to get both rewards you’ll need to pick the other one when you fight the boss again.
That’s how you can beat the Guide Boss in Slap Battles. Now, go out there and try these tips and tricks yourself! Do you want to get more gloves in the game? Check out our How To Get Siphon Gloves Guide for more details!
