Soul Knight: Lancer & Sword Master Hidden Mechanics - Guide

Soul Knight has now seen the addition of two new classes on the second floor on its Update 6.0. They are the Lancer and the Sword Master. Since they are new classes, there may be lots of hidden mechanics that you have not known yet. In this guide, we will show you some of the hidden mechanics of these two classes so that you can optimize your future gameplay.

Lancer & Sword Master Hidden Mechanics – Guide

The Lancer costs you $2 which must be purchased using real-life currencies. You can get the Sword Master with 12,000 Gems, which is a class that you can obtain as a free-to-play player.

These two classes also function with the HP, Shield, and Mana. Other than that, these two classes also get a unique bar that are different from other classes. This line of stat is called Battle Will for Lancer and Sword Intent for the Sword Master.

When you fill the Battle Will bars of these two characters, they will receive special effects. This means that these characters may need a while to charge up their bar to start doing better damage.

Lancer Abilities

The Lancer Ability has three different phases that will give you different skill effects.

Dragon Dive forces the character to launch himself into the sky before flying downwards with his Lance. Upon hitting an enemy, you will deal damage to them.

Soul Knight Lancer 1st Skill

Dragon Flurry is the ability that you can activate after the first ability. Upon casting, the Lancer will swing his Lance in a circle around him, dealing damage to all nearby enemies.

During the animation, you can also press the normal attack button to do extra damage. The ability and the normal attack count as two different damage instances so you can do this to maximize damage.

Soul Knight Lancer 2nd Skill

The Dragon Flurry ability is your main way of dealing damage to bosses. When combined with other special dungeon buffs, you can increase your damage even further.

Dragon Flurry can last a little bit longer since this is his damage source. However, you can always use the ability again to cancel it if you need to.

Soul Knight Lancer Skill

Dragon Slash is the last stage of his ability. During this skill, he will create slashes with his Lance and launch them at your enemies.

This is the only part of the skill that lets you fire a ranged projectile. If you need to hit an enemy from a distance, consider using this skill.

Soul Knight Lancer Last Stage

These skills along with his basic attacks will charge up his Battle Will if you successfully land them. At max Battle Will (100/100), you will receive special effects on your abilities:

  • Dragon Dive will now stun your enemies.
  • Dragon Flurry will electrocute nearby enemies.
  • Dragon Slash will deal increased damage while also applying an electrocute effect.

You will also receive a +30% Critical Chance, +30% Fire Rate, and -20% Skill Cooldown. Once the Battle Will bar gets full, the Lancer will be covered in a Blue Aura, giving you all the buffs.

Soul Knight Lancer Aura

The last system you should know about is his Passive. Every time you use a skill, your damage will be increased by 10%, stacking up to 5 times (50%).

This is why you’ll want to always pay attention to your passive bar and manage its duration. You can always use the ability to stack the stats before entering a dungeon for maximum efficiency.

Keep in mind that the combo buff will not increase the number of hits on the first two phases of the Lancer’s ability. However, it will add another two slashes to his final skill.

Sword Master Abilities

Unlike the Lancer, the Sword Master uses a Sword Intent bar that gets full at 30 stats. However, only by using her skill can you fill the bar.

While using the slashing ability, she is invincible and cannot take damage. After the skill ends, she will receive extra movement speed. You can use this speed boost to dodge enemy projectiles.

Once the Sword Intent bar gets full, her next ability will be enhanced. She will still slash the enemies 3 times, with the addition of three projectiles. Then, she will do the slash animation one more time.

Soul Knight Sword Master Skill

You can double the amount of damage from her ability by normal attacking during the animation. While she is in the animation, spam the normal attack button and you will do normal attack damage.

Soul Knight Sword Master Tip

The Sword Lancer’s ability synergizes very well with this buff that releases whirlwinds every time you defeat an enemy in melee range.

The cooldown of the ability and the buff are in sync with one another, meaning that you can always enhance your damage whenever you use it.

Soul Knight Sword Master Dungeon Buff

That’s how you can start playing the Lancer & Sword Master classes by understanding their unique mechanics. There are many tips that you can apply to increase damage while using their abilities. Lastly, remember to combine your skills with dungeon buffs to maximize damage!
