There is a new Season in Soul Knight Prequel and with it comes new content to go through. It’s a live-service game, after all, it even has a battle pass so of course they have seasons! There are new maps to explore, new bosses to farm, and new mechanics to learn.
In this guide, we’ll show you what all of the new additions to the game Season 1 have introduced. Now, let’s see what they all are!
Complete Season 1 Guide – New Mechanics, Upgrades Resources & More
The new season has added a ton of new content for players to enjoy. There are new mechanics, new ways to upgrade gears, and even new ways to spend your cash. So let’s see what they’ve been cooking up for the players!
New Characters & Classes
With a new season, the game will want you to play with new characters. Of course, you can play as your old characters, but they won’t get to experience anything new. Don’t worry though because with the new season, you also get additional character slots!
There are also new classes in the game and one of them can be unlocked through the in-game shop. That’s the Animancer and if you want to play this class you can buy it at the start!
There is also the Herbalist class that can prestige to the Druid class. To unlock that, you’ll need to buy the premium battlepass of the game. Once you’ve unlocked it though, you can then choose it as your class with a new character or change an existing Season 1 character to it.
To know if a character is a Season 1 character or not, you’ll need to check their name on the selection screen. If they have a small flag next to their level as shown below then they’re a character for this season.
Merchant Teleport
If you look at the upper right of your screen on the minimap, you’ll notice something different. There are little icons around it of familiar characters if you’re a veteran of this game. Those are the different merchants that you can now teleport to!
No more wasting your time running around the town and remembering where they are. Now, with a click of a button, you’ll be teleported to the merchant you want!
Gachapon Dispenser
Another new addition to the hometown is the Gachapon Dispenser. When you go and interact with this new object you’ll see the new Gachapon system in the game.
To use the Dispenser, you’ll need to get Gachapon coins which you can buy from the game’s shop. Remember that buying those will cost real-life money so spend your hard-earned cash wisely!
The items you can get in the Gachapon Dispenser can range from decors to skins and simple items like gold or consumables. It’s all up to luck on what you can get so enjoy the new gambling mechanic!
Apex Seals
If you’re a veteran of this game, you should know how Apex levels work. It’s a different stat that you level up on your character to get some bonuses. Now, they’ve changed them a bit by adding seals to each path.
Unlocking these seals will give you even more upgrades and bonuses which fleshes out this part of the game. The Apex Levels were very basic back then but now, there’s more room for theory-crafting!
New NPCs & Mechanics
When you get to the town you might also find some new NPCs in the game. One of the new additions is the Mysterious Figure. When you talk to him, he’ll tell you about sketchy-looking walls. He’s talking about the new hidden room mechanics in the game.
There is also Madame Silvesper who will tell you all about the new upgrade mechanic in the game: Helxar Infusions. This is where you use the new upgrade material in the season to add new stats to items.
There is also the Advanced Helxar Infusion but you’ll need to complete the main Season 1 story to unlock it. They also use a different upgrading item to do so and will give you even better upgrades!
New Areas and Maps
Of course, it can’t be a new season without new content like maps and enemies. Season 1 has added new maps and bosses that you can explore and defeat.
Each one of them has different difficulty levels that you can increase to get more rewards. You also get more Helxar upgrade materials for higher difficulties.
There’s also a new area on the map, which is called Xandu. For more details, here’s a guide which covers how to get to Xandu!
Corruption Mechanics
All of the maps now have this new Corruption mechanic that you’ll have to deal with. On the upper left is a bar that you’ll need to fill up by doing combos. Once you’ve done that, a group of elite enemies will spawn that will drop upgrade materials.
There is also the corruption bar at the bottom of the screen which increases as you go through the level. The more stacks you get on that bar, the more damage you take and the less damage you deal, so keep that in mind.
Certain map items like Fonts of Cleansing can lower the level of corruption, so keep an eye out for those! Not only that, but there are also new fatebounds for Xandu – make sure to check out our guide for that topic as well.
Those are all the new mechanics, resources, and stuff that’s been added with Season 1 of Soul Knight Prequel. Now, go out there and enjoy the new season!
