Once you have reached the post-game state, which means that you have already beaten the game’s final boss, you will unlock access to a bonus dungeon known as the Maze of Tribulations.

Upon entering this dungeon, make your way towards the tenth floor. The way this floor works is that you have to step on the panels in the first room in order to temporarily unlock certain doors.

You can only unlock a few doors at once, and the panels will light up when you step on them. For the purposes of this guide, you must step on the following panels highlighted in varying colors in the picture below.

Don’t worry about locking yourself out if you want to loot the rest of the floor, as you can simply come back later and open or close other paths if you need to.

Next, simply go through all of the rooms that you opened until you reach the one at the upper middle corner. There is no chance for you to get lost here, as the path you opened will be the only one you can go through.

You will find multiple treasure chests in this room. Just open the one in the middle and you should instantly unlock Ashton’s tri-Ace move.

This attack deals massive area of effect damage at the cost of 65 MP. It has a significant downside in that it takes quite a long time to actually wind up before it deals damage.

That’s pretty much all you need to know when it comes to unlocking tri-Ace. It will take you quite a bit of time to actually get it if you haven’t finished the game yet, but it’s a cool and flashy move that you should absolutely get once you can!
