Tracking down people in any space opera setting can be quite difficult. You have multiple systems to stick your nose into, inquiries that no one will give you honest answers to, and not to mention the supplies you’ll eat up during the hunt.

All of these concerns are perfect if you ever want to commit mild amounts of space larceny, but today we’ll be talking about joining factions instead. You’ll meet a handful of them as you journey across space, so can you actually join more than one in Starfield without getting found out by the rest?

Can You Join Multiple Factions?

There’s a total of six major factions that you can join in Starfield along with a few minor ones. Each of them will have their own set of requirements before you actually sign on.

And the good news is you won’t get faction locked while playing Starfield. That means you can join any faction you want, and no one will give you any lip about it, probably.

At the beginning of your journey, you’ll have to make do with the Constellation faction first. You’ll get the option to join other factions like the Crimson Fleet as you play the game further.

However, if you want to do this, you’ll have to mess around with the United Colony controlled areas first. That’s one of the few things that you’ll have to be aware of when joining a new faction that has conflicting interests.

With that out of the way, you can now decide which faction suits your interests best in Starfield! Don’t forget to do work for the minor factions as well if you want to do additional side quests!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
