Starfield: How to Get Upgraded Cutter

In Starfield, as you accomplish many of the quests and gather resources, you’ll need specific tools to achieve this objective. The Cutter is a tool or weapon you can use to harvest raw resources like iron or nickel. This tool can also be used as a weapon against low health or beginner level enemies.

There is also an upgraded version of the Cutter that gives you extra effects. However, you may not know how to obtain this one tool for yourself. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get the upgraded Cutter in Starfield.

How to Get Upgraded Cutter

First, you’ll need to get to the Argos Extractor Mining Outpost. In order to go here, you’ll want select the Narion System in your space map. After that, look to the top left side and you’ll be able to see Vectera, which is the Moon of Anselon.

Once you’ve teleported there, look towards your right and you will be able to see a small building with red lights inside. Walk into it and you’ll be able to find a switch to your right that leads you inside. The door opens slowly, so you’ll want to spend some time waiting for it to open.

Once the door opens, keep sticking to the right side and go deeper. To your right, you’ll be able to see a suitcase that’s holding a yellow tool. You can then walk near it to inspect it and you’ll be able to find the Heller’s Cutter. This is an upgraded version of the normal Cutter.

The Heller’s Cutter have the same stats as the Cutter, with the only difference being the +20% damage increase against robots. However, this doesn’t make the the tool a weapon since it still does very low damage and has a relatively short range. In cases where you have no other options, you can use this as a weapon against weak enemies. Other than that, this item works best as a tool for gathering resources.
