When you’re not doing the main story in Starfield or out gathering rocks and minerals for your outpost, there’s a good chance that you’re doing side quests instead. They’re a great way to earn easy money for almost no effort, but sometimes the objectives aren’t that clear enough or are too simple to be true.
This confuses players who enjoy having a hard time for whatever reason. So, in this guide we’ll show you how to finish the Left Behind mission if you haven’t crossed it out of your list yet.
Left Behind Mission Guide
The Left Behind mission will be available once you progress past the tutorial section of the game. Head over to planet Jemison over at the Alpha Centauri system to get started.
Once you’re inside of the cave, use your scanner to find the missing miner. He’ll have a blue highlight on your HUD, making him easier to spot.
He’ll be in pretty bad shape when you find him. Make sure to bring a Med Pack with you if you’re Medicine skill isn’t high enough. You’re on a rescue mission, you can’t rescue a worker who isn’t breathing. Let the miner follow you back out of the cave, go back the way you came for an easy exit.
All you have to do now is escort him across Jemison going back to the Fracking Station. Follow the blue marker on your HUD and give the worker a few seconds to get his bearings together if he falls behind.
Talk to the miner at the fracking station once you’re there to finish the mission and get your reward.
And that’s how you finish Left Behind in Starfield. Now you can go back to building your outpost, you’re bound to have collected a few materials from all that walking you were doing.
