Starfield is sci-fi action RPG from the same people who created the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. So you might be wondering that maybe it’s riddled with bugs. Surprisingly, no! It launched fairly well and the game is running smoothly.
Might be a little demanding at times, but it’s a fantastic game that leaves players immersed in a fictional version of our future. As the player, you get to do missions for different factions and such, like the UC Vanguard. In this guide, I will show you how you can do one of the missions in the game, which is the Search and Seizure mission.
Search and Seizure Guide
To start the quest, you will need to talk to Yumi in New Atlantis. He will be staying in the UC Security Office that is near the spaceport. Talk to him, and you will get the quest.
Speak to Port Workers
Go to the spaceport, which is right next to where Yumi is, and talk to the highlighted Technicians that are roaming around. You will be given the dialogue option to ask them about the smuggler. The first Technician you will speak to will know nothing about it, so head to the next Technician.
Turns out, the second Technician knows something weird is going on with the cargo ship. Keep asking questions and eventually, your quest objective will change.
Obtain the Ship Records from Aegis
After speaking to the Technician, you will need to go to the MAST building and speak with Aegis. Take the elevator up to the Defense Research / Health and Human Services floor, which is where Aegis is.
Go into Aegis’ office and speak with him. Select the first dialogue option that mentions a slate. Aegis will then provide the slate, which you will need to read in order to identify the smuggler’s ship.
Read the Slate and Identify the Smuggler’s Ship
To read the slate, go to your inventory and click on New Items, since it is an item you just picked up. The name of the slate should be called Potential Smuggler Ships.
Read the slate and you will find the four potential smuggler ships and their captains. The ship you’re looking for is the Anansi UC-576B, which is captained by Malawi Ndiaye.
Report to Sergeant Yumi
Now that you know who the captain of the smuggler’s ship is, you will need to report to Yumi. Go back to the UC Security Office and speak to him.
Tell him that you have information on the ship and say that is belongs to the Anansi ship. Yumi will then tell you that you need to obtain the contraband from the Anansi.
Obtain the Contraband
After Yumi tells you to go, board the Anansi and head to the cockpit, where the captain, Malawi Ndiaye will be waiting. You can talk to her, but it’s better to do the following method.
In the cockpit, facing the captain, there is the cargo hold on the left. Approach it and simply take the Crate of Contraband from the ship. This will then prompt an exchange with Malawi.
Report to Sergeant Yumi
Now the quest can end in two ways. The first way is by reporting to Yumi without accepting Malawi’s offer. You can simply use the Intimidation option or the last option.
Use the Intimidation option if you want to avoid a firefight and talk your way out. Afterwards, you will be able to go back Yumi and report to him to end the quest.
Bargain with the Captain
The second way this quest can end is by accepting Malawi’s deal. Select the second dialogue option to hear her offer.
Afterwards, you can get the option to either accept the 2500 Credits or choose the Negotiation option to get more. Either way, accepting the offer means you will have to tell Yumi that the ship is clean, and the quest will end.
That’s all you need to know on how to complete the Search and Seizure mission on Stafield. Did this guide help you complete the quest? Let us know in the comments below.
The “Wanted” Trait also allows you to avoid a fire fight.
