In this article, I will show you how to defeat Kaliya in the Twisted Marsh raid. If I were you, don’t underestimate this boss raid. A lot of strong players have struggled in this fight. Follow my guide and we will win against this boss.
Twisted Marsh Guide
Summoners War just dropped their latest boss raid called the Twisted Marsh and even the strongest players are still struggling to defeat the new boss named Kaliya. However, some ways or strategies can help you withstand and deal damage to Kaliya with your group.
To defeat the new boss raid, you need to consider the following. Also, reaching 300,000 Power Level will give you and your team an increased bonus on your stats.
- Runes – Make sure that you upgrade your runes to level 15. This will increase your power level and overall damage output and defense.
- Skills – Max-level skills don’t just increase your damage output, but also increase your overall power level. Make sure that your team is maxed out.
- Monster Levels – Make sure that your monsters are at max level. Having your monsters at level 70 will increase your Power Level. Here’s a guide that can help you make your monsters become level 70 fast.
- Star Levels – Each star increases the stats of your monsters. Giving them an increase in everything such as damage, defense, and health.
- Summoner – Make sure that your summoner has all the best equipment. Use your equipment that has gems, spell effects, and effect stones. This includes the accessory and sub-weapons as well.
In short, make sure that each monster in your team has max rune, max skill level, max monster levels, and 5-star levels. Now, we will proceed with the strategy and monsters to use in your team to defeat the raid effectively.
Preparing For The Raid
Every battle doesn’t just rely on brass but also needs some brains. Having the necessary damage doesn’t mean you can defeat anything. A good strategy turns the table of a losing battle. Always plan your attack and bring the essential monsters into the fight.
Here’s the strategy that you need to defeat the boss:
Get a Healer: In every battle, the healer is the lifesaver. Turn the tide by saving your monsters that are on the brink of death. You can choose from the following healers. All of them are great as long as they are maxed out.
- Lulu
- Praha
- Anavel
- Shushu
Limit your Buffs: The new boss, Kaliya, can steal your team’s buff and use it against you. Only use the monster that can provide the necessary buff for your team. Make sure you have that dedicated buff stealer or stripper on your team. You can pick either of the following monsters:
- Vagabond
- Lyn
- Cow Girl
Damage Dealer: You pretty much choose any monster you want to become your main damage dealer as long as it has a high power level, max stars, and max monster level. But I suggest using monsters that use range attack for better survivability and attack speed.
Here’s the lineup of monsters I suggest you take with you on the raid:
NOTE: Make sure they are at max level.
- Bulldozer – Your tanky damage dealer. His defense and damage can help bring down Kaliya.
- Karambit – Your second damage dealer is all about precision, attack speed, and critical damage.
- Lulu – This monster will be your main healer and responsible for the survivability of your team during the battle. Be sure to keep this little monster alive at all times.
Let The Raid Begin
Now that your team is ready, this time you will look for the best ally. I suggest inviting your friend with the highest level or max level to join the fight. You can enter the raid with 2 more players. If you and your team reach the 300,000 Power Level, all of you will have a bonus increase in stats.
Like any other raid, you need to know your enemy. Study its moves and skills, master it, analyze it, and memorize it. This raid will take some time, just keep practicing and doing re-runs of the raid.
Here are some good battle tactics to defeat the boss with your team:
- During the start of the match, you need to look out for her attack where there is a red circle around her. This AoE attack can do heavy damage if you’re inside its attack range. After sending out the first attack, the circle will move outward, making her vulnerable. This is your moment to bombard her with heavy damage.
- When she teleports to the middle after taking heavy damage. She will release waves of snakes that can deal heavy damage. Make sure your monsters are on follow to avoid them from wandering and going in different directions.
- After the snake phase, the boss will have a fixed damage output of 65%. Taking a huge chunk off your monster health. Make sure your healer is ready to heal your team. After that, bombard her with damage. Rinse and Repeat!
- When Kaliya reaches a certain threshold on her health bar, she will transform into a giant snake and petrify her allies and monsters. The best thing to do here is to use your healer and heal your allies that have low health to prevent them from losing the fight.
- As her health becomes lower, she will stop using the snake attack. Instead, she will summon red circles on the ground that can slow and damage your monsters and allies. Not only that, but she can teleport to your location and use her first attack move. You can avoid the red circles by going to a safe spot and dealing damage to her once this phase is over.
- If you manage to lose one of your monsters, that’s alright. Just make sure your healer is alive, as well as your secondary damage dealer. Finish off the boss quickly and claim victory.
That’s it! Just Rinse and Repeat. Avoid anything that is a red circle, stay away from the snakes. Keep your team alive. I suggest you focus on your healer since they are responsible for your team’s survivability. However, your main goal here is to deal as much damage as you can while your damage dealers are still alive.
