But, if you want that Halloween vibe, the Radiant Armor is for you! The armor has glowing parts that resemble a skeleton. It glows in the dark too! Hence, the term “Radiant” means it sends out light.
In this article, we will find where you can buy the Radiant Armor Set. If you haven’t finished the Gloom-Bourne Illness side quest, the armor set will cost you 15,000 Rupees. But don’t worry, I will show you how you can finish the quest, and maybe the shopkeeper will give you a bonus discount. Let’s find out!
Radiant Armor Set Location
The Radiant Armor Set is found in the same shop as the Stealth Armor Set. In a village named Kakariko. The village can be found at these exact coordinates (1808, 0984, 0113). You can use the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower to your advantage to save you time. Here’s a guide on how to unlock the Sahasra Tower.
Apparently, the armor itself cost a fortune. If you are willing to spend 15,000 Rupees you can proceed on buying the armor at the Armor Shop inside the village. However, I suggest you stick with the other method, which I will show you to save that 15,000 Rupees.
How To Get A Huge Discount
In order to get the discount, you need to help the shopkeeper of the Armor Shop. Her name is Claree. All you need to do is help her sister create something that can cure their sick grandmother Nanna. Let’s begin!
This is the list that will guide you on how to get a huge discount on the price of the armor.
- Firstly, go to the armor shop in the Kakariko village. Speak to the shopkeeper standing at the front desk named Claree. You will discover that her grandmother Nanna is sick due to getting too close to a gloom. The player will now then look for Nanna and Claree’s sister, named Lasli.
- To find Nanna and Lasli, here are the coordinates for Nanna’s home (1900, -1026, 0127). The Next person you need to find is Lasli. She’s by the front of Nanna’s house, sitting near her cooking pot. She will ask for help in gathering ingredients and making a porridge that can cure her grandmother. The Porridge you will create is the Sunny Veggie Porridge. After talking to all 3 of them, the Gloom-Bourne Illness side quest will start.
Sunny Veggie Porridge Ingredients
You can now start finding all 3 main ingredients. The main ingredients are Hylian Rice, Fresh Milk, and Sundelion. Lucky for you, 2 of the ingredients are easy to find. In fact, you can buy it. All you need to do is head over to the Hateno Village (3412, -2127, 0120).
Let’s begin with the hunt for the ingredients!
- First, let’s buy the Hylian Rice in Hateno Village. Here are the coordinates of the shop (3356, -2517, 0018). Once you have found the store, go inside and turn to the left. The rice is at the corner of the store. The rice only cost 12 Rupees.
- Next up! The Fresh Milk. It can be bought in the same shop as the rice. The milk is just by the front desk near the shopkeeper. Also, it’s better to stock them up on since you cannot farm this outside. The milk only cost 12 Rupees.
- Lastly, the final ingredient is Sundelion. You can find tons of these wild greens all over the Sky Islands. You can go to one of the floating islands and collect multiple Sundelions there. Once you have it, you’re all set for the cooking part.
- Once you have managed to collect all the ingredients, it’s now time to head back to Lasli’s location in Kakariko Village and cook the dish.
- After cooking the porridge, talk to Lasli then she will take the porridge and give it to her grandmother Nanna. The porridge will cure Nanna and you can now head back to the shop and see the discounted prices of the Radiant Armor Set.
You can upgrade the Radiant Armor up to 4 stages. That’s right, and all 4 stages provide an increase in the total defense of the armor!
Radiant Armor Upgrades
There are certain materials needed to accomplish the 4 stages. Each stage increases the required number of materials. In that case, you better start farming the materials as soon as possible, while you progress your way to the 4th stage.
To upgrade your armor in Tears of the Kingdom, you need to visit the Great Fairy Fountains. Here is one fountain you can visit, located in Mija (-1630, 2587, 0234)
- First Upgrade – The first upgrade of the armor will provide a +5 Defense. The materials are x5 Luminous Stone and x3 Bokoblin Guts.
- Second Upgrade – For the second upgrade, the bonus effect will be +8 Defense, whereas the materials also increase. In this case, you will need x8 Luminous Stone and x3 Moblin Guts.
- Third Upgrade – This upgrade will give a bonus of +12 Defense provided that you must have x10 Luminous Stones and x3 Molduga Guts.
- Final Upgrade – Lastly, this upgrade will give +20 Defense only if you manage to collect x20 Luminous Stones and x3 Lynel Guts.
