Forts are always a nice thing to look at in Tears of the kingdom. You can sometimes tell what went down just by looking at whatever’s left of the outer walls. This one’s seen better days however, and on top of that there’s a cave nearby that lets you go around the entire structure.
That’s where you’re headed in this spelunking guide so there will be no sieging today sadly. Inside of the Fort Hateno Cave will be another Bubbul Frog with a gem that rightly belongs to you. So stick around, read this Tears of the Kingdom guide and cut the search short!
Fort Hateno Cave Bubbul Frog Location
You can get to the Fort Hateno cave entrance with these coordinates (2218, -1707, 0022). It’s to the east of West Necluda and the closest shrine you can use to get there would be the Eshos Shrine. The frog will be hiding deep inside of the cave, but you don’t really have to do anything too fancy to get to it.
Once you’ve entered the cave go straight. The tunnel will empty into a larger room shortly, when you reach the next room turn left.
There’s a hill in the center of the room, go around it until you see a hole in the ground to your right. If this is your first time going into the hole the path will be blocked by some rocks. You can get rid of those rocks by using a heavy weapon, bomb flowers, a cannon, or a time bomb attached to your shield.
Continue into the hole once the path is clear. The tunnel will lead you to the Bubbul Frog’s final resting place. Hit the frog in any way you like and add one more Bubbul Gem to your growing collection!
If you’re looking to continue the frog hunt you may want to visit the Lanayru Road East Cave to the northeast next.
