Thanos Simulator allows players on Roblox to use all sorts of weapons inspired by the Marvel universe. However, getting these weapons is not always, and will require you to complete some challenges. One such sword is the Surtur Sword.
If you’re struggling with the obtainment method of this sword, we’ve got you covered. In this guide, we’ll show you all the steps you need to follow to get the Surtur Sword, including spawning the tough boss. Without further delay, let’s get into it!
How To Get Surtur Sword
The Surtur Sword is not an easy sword to get in Thanos Simulator, as you’ll need to follow a lot of steps. This includes a tough boss fight against Surtur at the end.
So, we recommend bringing along a friend for the Surtur boss fight.
Initial Requirements
Before you get started going through the steps, there are some items that you’ll need to have beforehand before you begin. We strongly suggest you get these items as they’ll be needed for many of the steps.
Here are the initial items you’ll need to get the Surtur Sword in Thanos Simulator:
- Heart of Ymir
- Defeat Eson the Searcher to obtain it
- Hadron Enforcer
- Craft it in the Lunar World
- Casket of Ancient Winters
- Defeat the stages of Lazarus in World 5 to obtain it
- Gauntlet with all the stones.

Solve Puzzle On Left Hand Side
Once you have all the required items in Thanos Simulator, make your way to the Catacombs location. From the spawn, head towards the gears that you see on the left side. With the gauntlet equipped, use the Disintegrate ability on the gears.
This will open the hidden wall there. There will be a lot of Servants of Celestial enemies here so make sure you clear them out too. After that, head inside the room.
Inside this dark room, wait for a bit and you should be able to see a block. Stand on the block and wait for it to fully sink into the lava.
Once that’s done, wait for the lava to clear and exit the room.
Solve Puzzle on Right Hand Side
After you exit the room, go to the right hand side gears in the Catacombs location. Again, use the Disintegrate ability to open the wall here.
Inside, you’ll see a block that you can interact with. Here, you’ll need to place the Heart of Ymir.
Once that’s done, a portal will appear. Out of this portal, 5 Servants of Celestials (Level 5) will spawn one by one and you’ll need to defeat each of them.
This is easier said than done as each of these enemies will have a Shield. The shield can only be destroyed with a direct hit from the Hadron Enforcer when they are not stunned (time-stopped or frozen). They cannot be damaged until the shield is broken.
Once you kill the enemies, there will be a sound indicating another set of gears appearing. Use the Disintegrate ability to open the gears so that you can exit the room.
Reach Lunar World Puzzle Room (Crown Of Black Fire Location)
Once that’s taken care of, it’s time to go to the Lunar World location in Thanos Simulator. Before you do that though, we recommend placing a portal on the Catacombs spawn using the Hadron Enforcer.
Of course, you can do this later too but it will save time.
From the Lunar World spawn, look to the left hand side. You should be able to see another set of gears. Use Disintegrate to open the gears and then teleport here.
Inside, you’ll arrive into the Puzzle Room for the Surtur Sword. Specifically, this puzzle will help you obtain the Crown of Black Fire.
Once you’re here, start by placing a portal in the middle of the room. Basically, you should be able to teleport between the Catacombs and the puzzle room for this next step.
Surtur Crown Puzzle Solution
To solve the puzzle, you will need to start by teleporting to the Catacombs portal you placed on the spawn. When you arrive here, you should be able to see a symbol somewhere in the area. The best way to see this symbol is by zooming out.
In our case, the first symbol was the one shown below, which corresponded to a 3. Keep in mind that the order of symbols will be different for everyone.
Below is an image, which shows all the symbols and the numbers they correspond to. If you do manage to select the wrong number, the puzzle will reset.
Once you find the symbol, return to the puzzle room. Here, use Disintegrate on the number that the symbol is associated with. Next, return to the Catacombs area and you should see a new symbol in the area.
Keep repeating these steps until you have selected all the numbers in the room.
Doing so will spawn the Crown of Black Fire in the center of the puzzle room. Pick it up so that you can move onto the next step.
Summon Surtur Boss
After you get the Crown of Black Fire, return to the Catacombs area in Thanos Simulator. Here, you’ll need to place the crown on the block shown below. You may need to repeat this step a few times as it can glitch out sometimes.
However, we recommend that you are 100% ready before you approach this fight. This is because the boss fight is incredibly difficult. Dying to the boss will reset progress and you’ll need to repeat ALL the steps again.
Once you place the crown, the Surtur boss will spawn. Surtur can be damaged using Snap of Ymir + Disintegrate. The meteors that the boss spawns will one shot you, so be sure to dodge them or use shields.
A great way to defeat Surtur is by having a friend spam Ice on Surtur. This will freeze him allowing you to use Disintegrate to kill him eventually.
After defeating Surtur, you will obtain the Surtur Sword as you reward!
