The Wandering Village is a game where you’ll be growing your own village which is mounted on a dinosaur’s back and this dinosaur is constantly moving! How can you not want to try some farming out in a game like this?! In this guide, we will be giving you a couple of tips on how to actually farm in The Wandering Village. Let’s get started.
How To Farm – The Wandering Village
Farming in The Wandering Village is something that will keep you progressing through the game. You cannot actually make it through the game and survive without farming. That is why you’ll want to be farming most of the time, if not all the time.
There are a couple of ways of how you are able to improve on your Farming in The Wandering Village. The most important thing is of course the Research. There are 3 sections on how you can improve your farming in The Wandering Village.
You will get the Village section, the Resources, and the Onbu section. In these, there will be multiple benefits of what you’ll need to be getting in the game, but some of them are crucial for farming. You will want to keep an eye open for them.
For example, you will want to always select the Tomato Plantation, Corn Plantation, Wheat Harvesting, Windmills, and so on. Be sure to select the ones that will benefit your Farming. The biggest thing you’ll want is of course the Bakery at the end.
A very good farm to have is the Cactus Farm. You are able to research it also from the research menu too. It only gives you water but sometimes water is in a very dire need so you’ll want to have extra.
You will want to place a Farm somewhere in the Village. It looks like this:
You will want to press on the Add Plot button and simply place a lot of plots on the ground. When you’re placing down plants, make sure that you don’t click the Plant or harvest Option. This way they will only do one of them and not both.
To choose the item that you will want to grow simply choose the Plant type. There are many plant types options to choose from and each of them has its own specific needs for your game.
When farming you will want to keep a close lookout on the Temperature. It will always change depending on where you are moving with Ondu. Sometimes it will go very high and some crops will die out, while some other times it will stay very low and some crops won’t even grow.
You will click on the plant that you want to plant and then check the temperature meter. It will tell you what plant will best grow. NEVER plant a crop if it is in the red marker. This way it will not give you anything when it is time to harvest it.
Something that you’ll need after having set up the farm is the Compost. You will want to research the Dung Collector from the research menu and tab. This is an action that will regrow and make your plants grow much better. You can select it even before you set up the farming.
That is it! That’s everything that you’ll need to know when it comes to Farming in The Wandering Village. We hope that this guide has helped you out with the complex farming system in this game. Happy farming!
