In TYPE://SOUL, each race has its unique ability system and the various systems and mechanics that revolve around them. As an Arrancar, you get your main abilities and move sets from your Partial Ressurreccion, Full Ressurreccion and then Segunda. These are two stages that an Arrancar will need to go through. However, with the new re-release, the meta has shifted around with a bunch of nerfs and buffs across the board. So, in this guide, we’ll be ranking both the Ressurection and Segunda for Arrancars to see which are the best and worst ones. Let’s dive in!
Best Arrancar Ressurection & Segunda Tier List
While Ressurections & Segundas are different stages of progression, both of them provide abilities and move sets to Arrancars. So, instead of two separate tier lists, we’ll be ranking them together. In total, we’ll be looking at 16 of them and seeing how they stack up against each other.
Keep in mind that these rankings are based on our opinions and preferences – while looking at the overall meta. So, it’s likely you might disagree with some of the rankings. Additionally, we’ll be considering both Ranked and Hell, i.e. PvE and PvP, when ranking.

With that said, here is the Best Ressurection & Segunda Tier List in Type Soul.

S Tier
Snake
Snake is arguably the best because of its true combos both in Full Ressurection and Segunda. However, it does take quite a bit of skill and you’ll need to learn the timings.
- Full Ressurection: You get the Overdrive passive which means no flashstep cooldown and M2 Enhanced moves. With this passive, you can utilize so many true combos because the moves offer guard breaks, combo extends and air time. Additionally, you also get criticals – with two variants.
- Segunda: Your true combos are taken to the next level. More damage, more combo starters and less opportunities for your opponent to punish you. On top of that, you get the Crazed Blitz Core passive that allows you to do a special variant move with more damage.
Light
Most of the moves in Light are overpowered and do not require much skill to use. This makes it excellent for boss raiding because you have a lot of AoE.
- Full Ressurection: Your M1s will be ranged slashes that are pretty oppressive. The crit is a massive AoE with guard break and hyper armor that makes a great combo starter. Overall, your moves can hit multiple people and do a ton of damage.
- Segunda: M1s have less range but do more posture damage. You unlock the T move that’s a big AoE you can use to stun multiple people and buy yourself time for cooldowns. With the G move, you tether enemies and do a fair amount of damage. It also resets your C move allowing you to potentially do two nukes back to back.
Arrogante
Arrogante is underrated and offers a ton of stun and damage.
- Full Ressurection: You get a cool custom crit that ragdolls anyone it hits with decent AoE. The Z move does the same but also explodes, making it great for combo extends. With the X move, your opponent gets a debuff that slows them down significantly allowing you to deal a lot of damage.
- Segunda: You’ll receive a better Bergan’s Axe with a crit that sends 3 discs that deal a lot of poison damage and a debuff. All the moves offer great damage, stun and the ability for you to combo extend off them.
Pantera
- Full Ressurection: The full res buffs all your moves. The Z move becomes multi-dash, X move enables true combos and the C move is great for starting or ending combos. They also string together really well to do high damage.
- Segunda: Has a really broken crit that allows you to ragdoll enemies for a long time, enabling true combos. The other moves also enable true combos, and most enemies won’t be able to counter them.
Acid
- Full Ressurection: The full res is honestly better than most Segundas. The Z move drops bombs that deal huge damage and stun over a large AoE. You can use two variants with the X move, both of which are useful. The C move is broken as you can absorb damage for a long time.
- Segunda: It takes the moveset up a notch. The ZXC moves now deal better damage and can be unleashed faster. You can use the T move to inflict blight stacks, and using it on a blighted target ragdolls them. The G move can be used to slam the target, and holding it allows you to go invisible before encasing the target in acid and also applying blight. Just so much more options for damage and stun!
Slash
- Full Ressurection: The Z move unleashes three quick slashes that you can use for true combos. You can also ragdoll people around with the X move that makes you unblockable. The C move offers a good stun that does more damage. So, you can do a lot of variation to pull off combos.
- Segunda: The crit gives you a large AoE damaging move. You can pull off true combos off the T move as it is unblockable – although you can parry it. There are two variants and if you land both, you’ll teleport to them. The G move is also great as it pulls enemies together. Overall high damage and high AoE that enable true combos.
A Tier
Vampire
- Full Ressurection: When you pop, your weapon becomes a spear – providing you with a Cero Oscuras crit and fast M1 attacks. The Cero may look small but it has a ridiculous hitbox and range, allowing you to stun easily. This makes it a great combo starter. But the full res is kind of underwhelming since the moves don’t change much.
- Segunda: Your M1s change into a fist and your crit becomes an AoE guard break scream. The moves can be used to stun and deal a lot of damage, allowing for combo potential. Your also get nice AoE with your T and G moves.
Starkk
Starkk comes with two modes: guns and swords. You’ll be switching between both of these depending on the moves that you land.
- Full Ressurection: The sword moveset is quite underwhelming here. Your goal will be to use guns as much as you can because of its great combo starters. Besides that, the full res feels much like a downgrade from the base moveset.
- Segunda: You become a boss raiding monster in this stage! You’ll permanently be in gun mode, with your crit dealing a barrage of attacks. With the T move, you can deal a ton of damage and stun multiple enemies from range. Additionally, with the G move you flash step towards them and do decent damage. Carried the Starkk move set easily.
Storm
- Full Ressurection: The move only really change in the way they interact. For every single orb that you get when you hit your Battery move, you’ll be able to use Stock that many times. The X move has a fast and guard break variant. Decent damage with a fast moveset.
- Segunda: The T move does a ton of damage and can ragdoll opponents, allowing you to do combos. Your G move allows you to slam down, unleashing AoE thunderbolts around you. More stun and even better damage.
Volcanica
- Full Ressurection: If you’re a fan of large AoE with guard breaks and hyper armor, this full res is for you. The Z and X move deal a ton of damage because of the lava pool. The C move is also a huge AoE that will deal damage all around. If you’re fighting a lot of enemies, you’ll always hit them.
- Segunda: Segunda makes it even better because of its empowered moves and domain. With the Ash Prison domain, you can trap enemies inside while you can still move around. Most players will panic inside and with your AoE, you can deal damage to all of them at once.
B Tier
Shark
Shark is kind of mid but it gets the job done.
- Full Ressurection: Fast M1s and an excellent crit. You can now shoot 3 projectiles with the Z move, your X move can cover more distance and the C move throws more sharks.
- Segunda: Your T move will will allow you to unleash a powerful beam that does a lot of damage. The G move summons a huge wave that hits anyone not in front of you. So, you’ll need to face away for it to work.
Devil
- Full Ressurection: Very disappointing full res. The Z just gets longer range without any damage buff. Additionally, the X move becomes an AoE stun while the C move just guard breaks and has three beams.
- Segunda: Underwhelming Segunda that does not offer much.
Spirit
- Full Ressurection: The Z move is the only decent move as it becomes a teleport with long distance and ton of damage. You also ragdoll them allowing you to combo extend. Besides that the other moves don’t change much.
- Segunda: The Segunda kind of saves this move set. The T moves allows you to deal a lot of damage while the G move is an AoE stun. Besides the the other moves don’t really change much.
Pheonix
- Full Ressurection: You get a new passive that allows you to spawn a turret that deals decent damage but can be stunned easily. Your lifesteal also gets increased with some moves – but other than not much change.
- Segunda: The passive is buffed so you can have up to three turrets. The T move offers decent damage while the G move has a big AoE. Rebirth allows you to steal 8% of health from everyone around you which is massive for team fights. But still pretty mid overall because of low damage.
Bone
Bone is decent but nothing is provides is strong.
- Full Ressurection: The Z move allows you to throw around six bones that autotrack nearby. Additionally, the C move can be used from a far distance with decent AoE, although its difficult to combo off.
- Segunda: The T move will allow you to charge forward and do decent damage, but not much else. You can use the G move to slam down for small AoE damage that throws people in the air. The crit is also decent and you get a decent enough ragdoll
D Tier
Horse
- Full Ressurection: Really disappointing and doesn’t do much damage. The only decent move is with Z that allows you to drag people and ragdoll them at the end. With the C move, you get barely any damage and range. Probably the worst full res in Type Soul currently!
Final Thoughts
That’s everything you need to know for the best Arrancar Full Ressurection & Segunda tier list in Type Soul. Now you know what the state of the meta is currently in the re-release of the game. For the most part, the B tier moves are viable but you’ll probably want to move off of them quickly. As long as you avoid using Horse, you can still make most of it work. Hopefully, you’ll be able to find a move set that suits your needs and playstyle!
