If you’ve ever popped your Volt mode in TYPE://SOUL and felt like an unstoppable god, or, on the flip side, a wet noodle with glowing wings, then you already know the power gap between different Voltstanding abilities is no joke. In this guide, we’re ranking all Voltstanding and Sklaverei options from S down to D tier, so you’ll know exactly which ones are worth flexing and which ones to politely leave out of your options.
Best Voltstanding Tier List
If you’re new to the Quincy side of Type Soul, here’s the crash course:
- Voltstanding is essentially the Quincy equivalent of Bankai or Resurrección — your ultimate transformation that amps your stats, gives you flashy wings, and unlocks unique abilities.
- Sklaverei is the “True Volt” mechanic that lets you power up even further by draining ambient spiritual particles, which offers absurd stat spikes and damage output. You can get it by completing the Hellverse Questline added in the new update of Type Soul!
Not all Voltstanding abilities are created equal. Some turn you into an untouchable, map-controlling menace; others are great in 1v1s but drop off hard in group fights; and some… well, let’s just say you’ll be wishing you’d rolled anything else.

Tier | Voltstanding/Sklaverei | Summary |
---|---|---|
S | Almighty | Extremely hard to obtain, likely overpowered due to the requirement of rolling through every vault. |
Nimble | Extremely fast with high combo potential; C move’s massive speed buff makes combos nearly true and very hard to parry. | |
Royal | Massive damage, great range, some hyper armor; excels in boss raids. | |
X-Axis | Weak base kit but S-tier mode; high damage, insane range, 8s iframes, and combo potential. | |
Glutton | Huge AoE, hyper armor, CC; easy to set up high-damage chains. | |
Visionary | Extremely high damage, oppressive stun, great group scaling; likely best Vollständig. | |
Heat | High AoE, strong damage, stuns, low cooldowns; oppressive in fights. | |
A | Balance | Great team support and utility; strong in coordinated fights but weaker in 1v1s after nerfs. |
Deathdealing | Excellent hyper armor, AoE control, high damage, and revives; dropped from S due to balance changes. | |
Superstar | Straightforward big damage; less oppressive than S-tiers. | |
Explode | Top-tier zoning and damage with aerial bombing, invisible mines, and big AoEs. | |
Wind | Wind Barrier passive auto-parries; strong utility and team synergy. | |
Overkill | Boosts all stats to max during vault mode; raw stat power without extra moves. | |
Butterfly | Fast, mobile, AoE-heavy; great for chaining moves and pressure. Dropped from S. | |
Miracle | Long-lasting mode, sustain, utility, strong CC; dropped from S due to meta shifts. | |
B | Zombie | Solid damage and combo potential, but overall niche and underwhelming compared to higher tiers. |
Thunderbolt | Good Flash Step disable and utility; solid but not broken. | |
Power | Reliable high damage; straightforward but effective. | |
Fear | Strong stun passive for combos; damage is lacking. | |
C | Iron | Functional but unimpressive; slightly better than Compulsory. |
D | Compulsory | Poor synergy, low damage, weak combo potential; nearly useless. |
Wrap-Up: It’s A Matter of Time Before Almighty Dominates
The Quincy arsenal in Type Soul has some of the most stylish and devastating abilities in the game — but also some of the most underwhelming. Visionary, Heat, and Royal are game-winners in the right hands, while picks like Compulsory… well, they make great conversation starters.
If you’re grinding for the best, aim for the S-tier monsters, but don’t sleep on A-tier standouts like Deathdealing or Balance, especially if you’re a teamfight enjoyer. The right ability, paired with smart play and good Sklaverei timing, can make you a menace in both duels and raids.
