Voidtrain is an on-rails shooter in the literal sense since it’s an FPS game where your main way of doing things is limited to the train you’re on. Oh and the train is floating around the void, thus the name. The game is still not out yet but you can get the Demo and the demo itself already has a lot of good gameplay in it. You start off with a pistol and a single hand-cranked train but you can make it into a longer, bigger, and better train. In this guide we’ll show you how to add a new train car and how to upgrade and add modules to it!
How to Build Car, Upgrade OR Add Modules In Voidtrain
The game, Voidtrain can be a bit linear, you can even say you’re railroaded into the story. The protagonist has a one-track mind and all of that. Okay, let’s stop with the train puns.
When you’re playing through Voidtrains you can go through these Train Depots like the one shown below. Usually they have enemies on them but luckily we don’t need them so feel free to remove them from existence.
To do anything with your train you’ll need to interact with the computer next to the tracks like the one shown above. From there you’ll see the interface to edit your train, from there you can add another train car with the big + icon, or upgrade an existing one or even build a module.
Of course all of that needs resources so if you don’t have them then you better jump back into the void and fish for some resources, don’t worry you’ll find another depot later on!
Congratulations you now know how to add a car, upgrade it or even add modules in Voidtrain. The train you get in the game can get quite long and will need a lot of resources so don’t forget to get as much as you can!
