Way of the Hunter is the new biggest thing in the Hunting games genre. It offers very realistic hunting sessions with sometimes extremely too many details about their games. This is not a bad thing, as long as you have someone to explain it to you. That is why we will explain in today’s guide. Let’s see how does the Fitness work and how to complete the Deer Management Mission.

Deer Management Mission, Fitness Less Than 40% Guide – Way Of The Hunter

Fitness is a value that will affect the trophy and size of the animal. The higher the fitness, the higher the trophy score and size of the animal. Fitness is a genetic potential of the animal. There are question marks to players about what is Fitness when connected with animals, and hopefully, this will answer them.

You can check out the Fitness of the animal that you’ve killed by going over its description screen. This is what it looks like:

So you will recognize a low fitness enemy if its trophies are low and its stars are low. If it has one trophy on example, it will have a very low fitness level percentage.

This is genetic, but it doesn’t mean that it will change with time. Animals will gradually become bigger and but their fitness level will not change. This is the Deer Management which is not clear yet to a lot of people.

To figure this out, you will have to know the Life Span of the animal you’re hunting. This is how it goes for lots of animals:

  • Young > Adult > Mature

So for example, if you see a Young buck with a 1 star, you will want to keep your rifle down. It might grow up to become a 5star Adult or Mature animal. The point is, that you cannot be sure of their Fitness level before you kill them. So that is why it is recommended not to kill young ones, just in case you shoot a perfect 5 trophy animal later on.

This is a tip that you can follow. Basically, you will want to shoot all baby deers that are under 2 stars. This way you might have fewer Deer in your game, but whenever they’ll spawn with 2 or more stars the chances are that in the long run, you won’t have bad genetics in your world. Everyone will be more than 40% Fitness meaning 5 Trophies!

Hopefully, this explains it a bit, as it is a very complex system so far. With this out of the way, we can begin simply explaining the Mission and how simple it really is.

The Mission – Explained!

To finish the Deer Management Mission you will simply have to kill all mature 1 trophy stars that you’ll come across. This makes it so that they won’t spread their genetics if they make a young buck(just as it is explained above).

So use the Buck Whistle that will attract the low-fitness Bucks to you. The mission is to simply clean out the bad genetics ones and sort of manage the deer so in the future you’ll get much higher quality animals to hunt.

There is a chance that Mature Deer will be more than 40% Fitness, but the chance of this is very low.

That is it! We hope that this guide was of some help. Happy hunting!
