No Rest for the Wicked is a new action RPG which was just released as Early Access on PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S players will have to wait a little longer for the game’s official release.

Similar to most RPGs, the game allows you to upgrade your weapons and gear to become more powerful. This guide will show you how to do it and where to find the Blacksmith. Continue reading to find out more.

Guide on Where & How To Upgrade Gear

Before you can upgrade your gear, you need to advance enough in the game to unlock the area called Sacrament. This will take you a few hours. Once you reach Sacrament, go to the location marked in the image below.

Upgrading Your Gear

Talk to Fillmore and it will bring up a menu to the left side of your screen. Select Upgrade from the menu. This will bring up the upgrading menu, select the item you want to upgrade to see the Crafting Requirements for it. You will need two types of things to upgrade your gear: Materials (such as Copper Ingot, etc.) and Coins.

Example of upgrading Armor.

One of the Materials that you will need to get starter upgrades on most of your gear is the Copper Ingot. Luckily, you can buy Copper Ingots from Fillmore. Click on Buy from the menu to see the items he is selling. You can buy a single Copper Ingot for 12 Bronze Coins.

This should at least get you the first few upgrades on your gear until you find better weapons or more rarer Materials.

This is it for this guide. Now upgrade your gear to your heart’s content. Since now you have reached the Sacrament area, you will also need to complete the Rookery Tower quest. Only problem is, the Rookery Tower is a bit hard to find. That is why I suggest you check this guide out: How To Find The Community Chest & Reach Rookery.
