You will find many wonderful creatures when exploring the large and detailed Wizarding World. The game offers numerous choices from the Hippogriff, the Thestral, and the ever elusive Unicorn.
Most creatures can be caught and will provide benefits as long as you care for them properly.
If you are trying to catch a Unicorn, it is important to note that they can be extremely difficult to find and just as hard to catch.

Where to Find the Unicorn

There is only one place to catch a Unicorn, and that is on the northeast edge of the Forbidden Forest as pictured above.
There is where you will find the one and only Unicorn den in the entire game.
You will find one of two Unicorn variants, one with a dark coat and the other with a light coat.
How to Catch a Unicorn

After you have found the Unicorn den, slowly approach it so you do not scare it off. Once you have made it close enough, use your Levioso spell at least three times to slow it down and levitate it.
After that, simply use your Nab Sack to capture it. Once you have a Unicorn, you can keep it in the vivarium in the Room of Requirement, allowing you to collect Unicorn hair which is very useful for upgrading high-level gear.
