Similarly to the human world, silver and gold are precious metals and currencies in the universe that J.R.R. Tolkien created. And in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, we’re going to be finding gold and silver to be mined. They’re not as hard to find as you think despite their status as precious metals as well and in general, you will find them as you slowly progress through the main story.
But in case you’re struggling to find them, here’s the guide to help you find them!
Where To Find Silver
Silver Ore can be found beyond the Lower Deeps, which is the second layer of Moria. And it’s easier to spot as they’re pretty shiny in the area.
You might mistake them as Iron Ore due to the color hue due to the darkness of the caves. But they’ll be easy to differentiate as you eventually get used to seeing them. Aside from Silver, you’ll also find Onyx while mining through them.
Lower Deeps is also home to many resources that you can’t otherwise find on the first layer. So, if you’re still on Western Halls, don’t worry, a lot of resources will become easier to find once you’ve got this layer unlocked.
How do you reach Lower Deeps? If you proceed to explore the area around Western Halls, you’ll eventually unlock the way down deeper. Following the main story will help you unlock many things.
NOTE: After defeating the Mines’ boss, refrain from using the Black Diamonds you obtain, as they are essential for accessing The Crystal Descent.
To reach the The Crystal Descent, search for a deep hole within the cave surrounded by crystals.
To descend, you’ll need to repair an lift using 15 Black Diamonds and approximately 30 pieces of natural fiber.
And that’s how you can find Silver ore in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria!
