Prepping your ship for almost any situation is vital to your survival in Starfield. That includes both your armaments and shields. Shields will help you survive longer while you’re making an attempt to lock on to whatever’s trying to get a hold of your precious cargo.
But installation is never that easy, even if you do have somebody else to do it for you. Regardless if it’s your first time using the ship builder, you’re still going to have moments where you can’t navigate around it well enough to find the Comspike and Conduction Grid modules. Install Both ComSpike & Conduction Grid Modules
Installing the Comspike and the Conduction Grid Modules will become possible while you’re doing the Eye of The Storm quest. You need to talk to the Crimson Fleet engineer Jasmine Durand in order to have the modules installed.
You’ll find her at the headquarters of the Crimson Fleet, which is The Key. Talk to Jasmine and choose the dialogue option that says, “Mind helping me with my ship?”
To get started, choose Ship Builder at the bottom of your screen and select Add next. Scroll through the tabs to see the different modules until you get to where it says Equipment. You’ll see both the Conduction Grid and Comspike modules here.
Both of these modules will be installed near the cockpit of your ship. The Conduction Grid goes to the top while the Comspike Module goes below. Hover over the ship once you’ve selected a module to have it installed. Do the same for the Comspike Module and confirm your modifications.
Make sure there are no errors on your ship, otherwise you’ll be stuck on this screen forever. We have a guide on How to Find errors if you’re having a tough time navigating around the builder as well.
