Derelict is a relatively new Roblox game that takes inspiration from the Dark Souls series. As such, the game is difficult, with grueling bosses and mechanics that will make you want to quit it early. This game is still in its Alpha stage, meaning frequent content updates are expected alongside the occasional bug fixes.
Many players want to get their hands on the Soul Amalgam in the game but are not aware of how to do it. This guide will help players to obtain the Soul Amalgam.
How To Get Soul Amalgam
Obtain the Raw Materials
The Soul Amalgam is a powerful item in this game that is worth around 672 Souls. It can be crafted by using 2 Soul Shrooms and 8 Soul Shards. Also, you’re required to have Sorcery Level 32 and Crafting Level 34.
You can follow the bandit camp – craft staff- grind on snail method to easily level up your Sorcercy skills. This guide will mainly focus on how to get these materials to craft the Soul Amalgam.
For this, go to the nearest Campfire and choose to rest there. From here, select the Travel option and choose the Crystalline Caverns to go to.
This will teleport you to the campfire that is outside the Caverns. Now, you will need to equip your Steel Pickaxe and follow the path down to the entrance of the cavern.
We also recommend equipping the Lantern in your inventory since the cavern gets pretty dark. This will help to maintain your visibility so that you don’t steer off course.
As you follow the path inside the cavern, you should eventually reach deep enough where the Soul Shrooms can be found. These can be identified quite easily due to the Blue Light that they emit.
This is shown in the image below so that you have an idea of what they look like. To pick up the Soul Shroom, simply go up to it, and a Forage option will pop up on your screen.
The Soul Shards are also found inside the Crystalline Cavern. When you start seeing the Soul Shroom that means that the Soul Shards are not far away.
Keep following the path downwards, and you should eventually reach the center point of the cavern. Like the shrooms, the shard emits a Green Light, making them easier to identify.
To get the Soul Shards, simply walk up to them with your pickaxe and start swinging at them. This should allow you to break them after a few hits.
Crafting Soul Amalgam
Once you have all the materials, head outside the cavern to the campfire. From here, you will need to travel to Gideon’s Camp.
At Gideon’s Camp, go ahead and interact with the Smithy NPC to open up his menu. Provided that you did obtain all the materials, you should see Soul Amalgam highlighted.
This indicates that you can craft it. Simply select it and choose its quantity. Lastly, select the Smith option to craft it, and you should end up with the Soul Amalgam in your inventory.
