FrostWalker Lv.55 Boss Guide

The FrostWalker is a boss that resembles the GraveWalker in design, and shares much of its patterns and attacks.

However, it is much more difficult as you cannot come near it and its attacks hurt a lot more. This is why you should bring your best character and build for max damage. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Enter the FrostWalker boss arena with at least one friend in the lobby. This will make it easier to coordinate through his attacks.
  2. Damage the FrostWalker when it targets one person during Phase 1.
  3. Dodge the FrostWalker if it targets you during Phase 1. Make sure you avoid the Main Gun attacks when it charges up as it can one shot you easily.
  4. Damage the Nodes that appear on its legs in Phase 2 when it starts glowing red. Trying to damage it is useless in Phase 2 as it will not take any damage.
  5. Keep using these strategies as it cycles through Phase 1 and 2 until you have defeated the Lvl.55 FrostWalker.

This guide continues with a detailed walkthrough below!

Detailed Walkthrough

When you enter the FrostWalker arena, it will drop down from above. Make sure that you have at least one friend in the lobby with you as this will make beating the boss much easier as you can work together. When you approach the FrostWalker, it will be in Phase 1 of his attacks.

In this phase, it will target only one player at a time. You can take advantage of this by damaging him with your best attacks while it is hurting someone else and dodging when you are being attacked so your friends can damage it.

However, be careful as it has some truly devastating attacks. This includes firing Missiles that you can dodge according to the situation. However, it is its attacks with the Main guns that you need to be careful about. This is because this attack is Unblockable and can easily one-shot you.

You can avoid being shot by dodging forward into the boss. When the FrostWalker is about to use the main guns, this will be indicated by an icy glow on the guns before it starts firing as it charges up. This is your cue to dodge into the boss and continue doing so so that your friends can pile in the damage.

At the halfway point of its health and shield drop, the FrostWalker will even get staggered and drop down temporarily. You can use this to your advantage and start piling in damage before it gets up. In this guide, we are using Bunny as the character.

Here’s a guide on how to get the crafting components needed to unlock Bunny.

Unlike the GraveWalker, the FrostWalker does freeze damage when you are nearby so you can’t stay too close to it. Instead, you will need to rely on your mobility and skill to make sure that you don’t take damage. Continue damaging it and it will go into Phase 2 of its attack at one point.

After the first time it staggers, it will go into Phase 2. This Phase can be very devastating and confusing especially for inexperienced players.

In Phase 2, it will start glowing red and stop taking any damage that you throw at it. Unlike the GraveWalker, the FrostWalker can move around during this part.

Additionally, his attacks will also change as it starts throwing explosive balls at you, shooting machine guns and missiles, and spawning minions called RolyPolys that will start targeting you. This can be very overwhelming and we suggest firing the balls and minions before they can reach and damage you.

In this Phase, however, you will notice that there are some Nodes that are sticking out of his legs. In total, there will be 4 of these. So, in Phase 2, don’t waste your time shooting at the FrostWalker but instead target these nodes.

If you are being targeted, start dodging his attacks so that your teammates can target the nodes and destroy them. Don’t get too overconfident, as the Main gun attack it has in Phase 1 can easily kill you in just one shot in Phase 2. Then, your teammates will need to revive you, and this can become messy.

Once you shoot off the last node, the FrostWalker will stagger and you can continue piling damage before it goes into Phase 1 again. Keep damaging it until its Shields have fallen and it will stagger once again signalling that the second halfway point of the shields is over.

The strategy works the same for the second half of the boss fight. However, you will notice that it will have become a bit more aggressive.

In this stage, like the previous one, it will continue to shift between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of his attacks. Take advantage of when it staggers and avoid its one-shot attack.

Keep dodging it in Phase 1 when targeted and continue piling damage on it when you are not. In Phase 2, avoid damaging it and instead shoot the nodes so that you can bring it back into Phase 1 to damage it. Once you’ve defeated it, don’t forget to gather the loot that falls out of it.
