The Front: How To Make Windows & Doorframes

Is cutting a hole in the middle of a wall really that difficult in The Front? The answer teeters towards yes, obviously, since you’re here reading this guide. But that’s completely fine, crafting recipes have a way of making themselves confusing in survival games after all.

How To Make Windows & Doorframes

You can’t put up a solid wall and add in a window to it at a later time. That only works on The Sims and a few other games. What you can do however, is make use of the radial menu to bring up more options for your wall.

Another scenario where you can make use of the radial wheel is when you’re trying to use the Manual Miner. Do we have a guide on how to use it? Yes, we do, check that out once you’ve decided what to put down for your base of operations.

As you’re putting your walls down, press “T” or hold right click. This will bring up the radial menu along with the other choices you’ll have for your wall.

Here, you’ll be able to see both the windows and the doorframe you need to put down to have a roof over your head.

This is only the framework by the way. You still have to make the doors and windows separately if you intend to use the walls you put down.
