You will need a variety of precious gems for your crafting journey. In this guide, we will show you various places where you can find Sapphires in the game. Let’s dive in and restore the former glory of the Dwarves!
Where To Find Sapphires In LOTR Return To Moria
There are multiple ways in which you can find Sapphires in Return of Moria. Sapphires fall under the Precious Gems category, which means they are rare to find. As a result, the main ways of getting these gems can be difficult, as you will see.
Shining Rocks – Low Chance
For starters, certain shining rocks or veins are scattered all throughout the map. When you mine these rocks, you typically get normal materials and rocks.
However, there is a rare chance for a Sapphire and other precious gem to drop out of these.
So, we recommend that you always check these whenever you are roaming around the map. However, the chance for Sapphires to drop is very rare from these shining rocks.
Therefore, you should not depend on this method of finding Sapphires.
Precious Gem Nodes – Higher Chance
As previously mentioned, Sapphires are considered a Precious Gem in the game. So, the main way of getting Sapphires is by mining the Precious Gem nodes. They are also much bigger than the Shining Rocks.
To mine these Precious Gem Nodes, you also need a Pickaxe of at least Level 3-4.
Otherwise, you won’t be able to mine these nodes. You are also not guaranteed Sapphires from these Nodes, as you can get Rubies, Amethyst and other Precious gems from here. It is definitely the best way of getting Sapphires and the chance of getting them is high.
Where to Find Precious Gem Nodes?
There are two main places where you can locate Precious Nodes throughout the map.
The first one is near Orc Camps. You can typically find these Nodes in the areas right outside the Orc Camps.
However, if you do go to locate these Nodes, we recommend that you do this carefully. Either clear out the camp or mine the Node by making sure no one can hear you!
The second places are random Cracks that go deep into the Mines. When you find these cracks, your Dwarf will even say that this is where all the good ore is. When you find these cracks, you will need to build platforms that go down these Cracks.
This can take quite a bit of time and the work isn’t finished there. After that, you will need to go down these Cracks and locate the Precious Nodes.
You will find that there are a lot more Nodes here than other locations. There is no specific location for these Cracks, since they are randomly generated.
However, you will also need to bring a lot of Health items. Otherwise, you will start losing health because of Corruption. Keep an eye on your Health as you mine the Precious Nodes and you should have plenty of Sapphires and other precious gems when you are done!
That’s everything you need to know about finding Sapphires in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. As you can see, there are multiple ways in which you can find them. So, we recommend you keep exploring to find the Cracks and Precious Gem Nodes. They will provide you with the most success!
