It’s that time of the year again, and you know what that means. The Hallowtide in Deepwoken is back! You’ve probably missed the annual event, and now, it brings fresh content for players to explore. If you’re interested in participating the Hallowtide Event 2023, I’ll show you how, as well as everything you can do and get from this year’s event.
Hallowtide Event Guide 2023
How To Participate Hallowtide Event
To start, head over to Vigil’s Island, the place where you acquire training items. It’s on the far-right side of Vigils, beside a cave. Look for a pumpkin and interact with it to get started.
You’ll find yourself at the Floating Keep. From there, head to the right, past the Jack-o’-Lantern, and speak to Lysander.
Hallowtide Mask
He’ll give you an overview of Hallowtide and the three items you need: Shell stock, Paperette, and Fine Ink.
These items can be found in various chests throughout the game or obtained from other players. Once you collect them, you’ll receive the Hallowtide Mask.
With the Hallowtide mask, you can approach NPCs and interact with them. If they haven’t been spooked yet, they’ll react with fear when you use the mask.
Scaring NPCs with the mask earns you Joy points, but there’s a 1-hour cooldown. You can also trade items with other players to complete your collection.
How To Use Joy Points (Lysander & Glaive Spellhardt Shops)
Also, you can spend your Joy points at Lysander’s shop. Moreover, you have the option to purchase old Halloween-themed helmets, pumpkin heads, and the Mushroom Costume.
For weapons, visit the Dispute Hall, climb the ladder, and talk to Glaive Spellhardt. Now, you can purchase last year’s weapons for 60 Joy, but this year’s weapons are 100 Joy each.
You can also purchase the Pumpkin Pitch Mantra for 300 Joy, allowing you to throw exploding pumpkins.
Hallowtide Trial Event
Scaring NPCs isn’t the primary method this year. Instead, engage in the Hallowtide Trial event. The entrance is to the left when you spawn in the game.
Walk through the portal to Widow’s Wall Cemetery, where you’ll face waves of Pumpkin Mud Skippers.
Use your abilities to defeat them and avoid getting infected by other players. Every four waves, you’ll receive a chest, which may contain valuable items.
NOTE: Be careful as the zombies pretty much one-tap you. Although you only need to hit them once for them to die.
