To unlock the Friar class, you’ll need to conquer The Primordial Oak, which is part of Chapter 2. Now, the exact requirements aren’t crystal clear, as it’s uncertain whether you need to simply beat the Primordial Oak or achieve specific sub-objectives like taking down goblins or completing it within 50 turns.

I personally unlocked the Friar by defeating the Primordial Oak, so that’s a confirmed method. Once you’ve achieved this, the Friar class should be unlocked, and you can purchase it using your lore points.
