COD MWZ: Where To Find The Surveillance Camera

You’re probably going through this current season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Zombies doing the many missions in it.

Some of these missions require you to get certain items around the map and most of them aren’t easy.

The Surveillance Camera is one of the items you’ll need to open the Dark Aether Portal in the game. Like many of the items needed for this mission, it’s not that easy to find this one.

Where To Find The Surveillance Camera

The Surveillance Camera is one of the many items you’ll need to find to open the Dark Aether Rift. It’s not just an item you pick off from a loot box as you’ll need to do a few steps first.

Here’s how you can get the Surveillance Camera in the game.

Obtaining Surveillance Camera

To get this item, you’ll need to go around the map and look for these Aether Balls floating around the map.

Usually, you shoot these balls to get cash in the game but if you shoot them with Dead Wire ammo, you’ll get something special.

If you shoot and destroy these Aether Balls with Dead Wire Ammo, it’ll drop a Surveillance Camera. The item is going to be blue in rarity though, and it won’t work for the mission with the Dark Portal.

Obtaining Gold Surveillance Camera

To use this item for the Dark Portal, you’ll need it to be a gold rarity item. To do this you’ll need to go through one of the many Aether Tears in the area.

Once you do that, you’ll be teleported into the sky, so use your parachute immediately. Afterwards, look for the gold-colored portal and go through it.

When you go through the portal, you’ll be transported to another area. Nearby, there’s going to be a special contract marked on your HUD.

Go to it start the contract and then complete it. At the very end of the contract, an Aether Tear will open and inside will be a gold rarity Surveillance Camera!
