A Universal Time (AUT) is a Roblox experience that is mainly based on the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise, but it also has content inspired by all sorts of other anime and manga series.
There are a ton of familiar faces that you can meet all throughout the game, and most of them will also give you various quests with a wide range of rewards. In this guide, we’ll try to quickly go through all of them!
All NPCs & Quests Guide
NOTE: I’ll be mentioning the majority of the locations in AUT, if you’re not familiar with all of them, make sure to check out our guide about that topic.
Starter NPCs, Enrico Pucci, Slayer & Black Market
One of the first NPCs you will meet in the game is The Guide, who will provide you with a tutorial on all of the basics. You should definitely talk to him if it’s your first time playing A Universal Time.
Here, you’ll also find the Daily Quest NPC, Trait Rerolls, Ability Gacha Banner, and the Crafting NPC. Their functions should be self-explanatory, and you’re going to be visiting them quite a lot throughout your career.
Enrico Pucci is also at the center, and he can help you reset your abilities or begin the quest called The Way to Heaven. This is the evolution quest for C-Moon, Whitesnake, and The World and it will have varying requirements depending on which one you have.
The Slayer NPC can also be found sitting in a bus stop near the center. He will provide you with various contracts that you can complete for all kinds of rewards.
The Black Market NPC also has a chance of spawning nearby, but he pops up in four different locations at random. If you need help, we have a detailed guide on where you can find the Black Market NPC.
Finally, you can find the Ferry Captain at the port. This NPC can teleport you to either the Coliseum or Jonathan Joestar’s Mansion.
Him (TW)
The NPC known only as “Him” has a 69% chance of spawning every few minutes behind the Skate Park. You can only interact with him if you have Shadow Dio.
The reward for doing his quest is the Blood of Joseph Joestar, which will let you evolve Shadow Dio into The World. The objectives you will need to complete are the following:
- Time Stop (5x)
- Drain 2500 blood
- Take 17500 damage
- Inflict 15000 damage
Dio (Both Versions)
First up, the vampire variant of Dio can normally be found in the central part of the map. He will give you a quest to find a vampire mask and a vial of blood. This will reward you with the Vampire ability.
Next up, the stand user version of Dio can be found standing right beside the entrance of the Joestar Mansion. He will give you the quest to do the following:
- Win 20 1v1 matches
- TimeSkip using King Crimson
- Inflict 2000 damage
- Kill Dio (the boss inside the mansion)
- Take 2000 damage
- Timestop using The World (10x)
Finishing this quest will reward you with the Evil Fragment item, which will let you evolve The World into Nocturnus.
Alternatively, if you have Star Platinum equipped, you will get the following quest from Dio:
- Inflict 5000 damage using Star Platinum
- Kill Dio using Star Platinum
- Block 1500 damage using Star Platinum
- Get 5 kills with Timestop
Upon killing the Dio boss, there is a chance that The Saint NPC will show up. If you have Tales of the Universe (can be looted from chests), you can be rewarded with the Sol ability.
Hamon Trainer
The Hamon Trainer can be found in a park near the central part of the map. He will provide you with various objectives that will reward you with the Base Hamon fighting style.
The objectives involve beating some fairly weak enemies. At the end, you will have to find a frog that spawns in random locations on the map.
Returning to him with a frog will get you the Hamon Imbued Frog item, which will let you summon the Hamon Trainer at the boss altar.
Jonathan Hamon Quest
Once you have Base Hamon, you can take the ferry to Jonathan’s Mansion and start a new quest from William Zeppeli. After beating a few enemies for him, he will give you a Letter to Jonathan.
Simply walk over to Jonathan Joestar further ahead of Zeppeli and give him the letter to start the next part of the quest. Basically, you will be tasked with beating more generic enemies.
After the first part of Jonathan’s quest, you will be asked to fight him at the boss altar, as well as Dio Brando afterwards. Once you beat this version of Dio, you will receive the Jonathan Hamon ability.
Joseph Hamon Quest
Within the Jonathan’s Mansion zone, you will also find Speedwagon. Speaking to him will initiate the Joseph Hamon quest, which also requires you to have the Base Hamon spec.
Just like the previous quest, he will ask you to beat up more generic hooligans before giving you a Letter to Joseph.
Next up, give the letter to Joseph Joestar, who is also standing around nearby. He will ask you to kill even more hooligans and then find his clackers, which have a small chance of spawning all around the map.
After that, you will also need to find the Aja Stone and Caesar’s Headband. Again, these items spawn randomly around the map, so you’ll have to do a bit of searching and waiting.
Finally, after thinking that you killed Caesar, Joseph will be fighting you at the boss altar. Beating him will reward you with the Joseph Hamon spec.
Jotaro Kujo (Stone Ocean)
Right outside of the train station where you first spawn in, you will find Jotaro Kujo, who can give you the quest to get Star Platinum The World.
First, you will need to get lucky and acquire Star Platinum Prime from a stand arrow. Next, you’ll have to find a Mysterious Hat, which has a random chance of dropping from a chest or spawning in random locations.
With the requirements on hand, he will ask you to inflict 10000 damage and kill Dio while using Star Platinum. Afterwards, you will receive Star Platinum The World.
Johnny Joestar & Gyro Zeppeli
Johnny Joestar can be found sitting on a bench right in front of the Soccer Field, while Gyro Zeppeli is standing somewhere close to the beach area.
Both of these NPCs are involved in the Tusk obtainment and evolution quests, however, that spec is currently disabled due to an upcoming rework, and we are unsure of when this will be live again.
Funny Valentine
Funny Valentine can be found just above the Soccer Field. He has quests to help you obtain both the D4C and D4C: Love Train stands.
His current quest objectives are unclear though, especially due to the Johnny Joestar boss being disabled for the time being and D4C being obtainable through other means.
Mountain Village NPCs
In the Mountain Village, which can be found by going through a waterfall to the left of the Soccer Field, you will find various quest givers, such as Gojo. Check out our guide for a more detailed rundown of Gojo’s questline.
Killua can also be found close to Gojo. His quest will reward you with the Yo-yo item, which you can use to get his fighting style. The objectives of his quest are the following:
- Endure the way of the Yakuza (850)
- Inflict 12500 damage
- Dash 125 times
- Take 8000 damage
- Use 15 Arrows
- Successfully Counter using Brawler’s Instinct (100x)
Umbra can also be found in this zone, standing under one of the trees in the village. He will give you various quests that involve killing generic enemies.
After that, you will be tasked with summoning and beating the Umbra boss inside the cave behind the Skate Park. This will reward you with the Azakana Mask and Ancient Sword, and giving one of these to Umbra will reward you with either the Yone or Yasuo spec.
Skate Park NPCs
At the Skate Park, you will find the Builderman NPC, who will ask you to find various items that have a chance to spawn randomly all around the map. Finishing his quest will get you the Brickbattle spec.
Right behind the Skate Park is Stucksducks, who will give you a quest if you are holding a Tales of the Universe key item. If you have one, you will be tasked with doing the following:
- Take 500 damage
- Obtain 15000 UCoins
- Inflict 12500 damage
Upon completion of these tasks, return to Stucksducks and he will grant you the Dawn ability, which will summon a sword with various impactful moves.
Sakuya
Sakuya can only be found within The Boundary, which is only accessible by walking through The Mysterious Gap. This is a portal that spawns in random locations all across the map every few minutes.
Every time a player enters The Mysterious Gap, everybody else in the server will be notified and it will then start the respawn timer of ten minutes.
Completing Sakuya’s quest will reward you with the Sakuya Izayoi ability, which involves the use of several knives and time manipulation.
Goku & Shenron
Goku can be found standing in front of a house within the Beach zone. In order to start his quest, you must first find seven Dragon Balls, which have a high chance of spawning all around the map or in chests.
Once you give him the Dragon Balls, you will be given the following tasks:
- Obtain 30000 UCoins
- Deal 5000 damage
- Defeat Dio
Upon returning to Goku and completing his quest, Shenron will show up and grant you one wish among the following choices:
- Corruption – Will give you one Corrupted Soul
- Wealth – Rewards you with 200,000 UCoins
- Ascension – You will be given Dio’s Diary
- Primal Power – Your current ability will be replaced with Broly
Bon Shaker
Bon Shaker can be found behind one of the Shops near the central point of the map. If you acquired a Corrupted Soul from Shenron, you can start his questline.
The objectives mainly involve killing a lot of generic enemies, and it will eventually result in you having to fight the Diavolo boss to get a Requiem Arrow.
After that, you will be tasked with beating the Reaper boss. As a reward for finishing this questline, you will get the Reaper ability.
Other NPCs
There was also a way to get the PLANET//SHAPER ability by doing quests for the Delta Cultist, Delta Captain, and “…” NPCs, however, this is seemingly obsolete following the spec’s rework.
In addition to that, various generic NPCs of varying levels spawn all around the map, and you’ll be beating them up to level up and complete certain quests.
The only thing of note when it comes to these hostile NPCs is that they spawn in groups, and hitting one will aggro the rest of them. Defeating an entire group will spawn a chest with various items inside.
And those are all of the notable NPCs in A Universal Time. Now, get out there and start grinding up and completing quests all throughout the game!
