Soul Knight: Complete Gun Fight New Mode Guide + Tips & Tricks (Update 6.0)

There is no second place in a gunfight. Winners live, losers get killed.

Update 6.0 for Soul Knight has brought in a ton of new content and additions to the game. The main spotlight has generally been on the new classes and systems, introduced to the new map, the Eastern Continent of Xandu. However, not many people have realized that there is also a new game mode that is in the game now.

This new game mode is known as Gun Fight and changes up a lot of things while still using the familiar fun mechanics that you’ll be familiar with. But what exactly is there to check out in this Soul Knight mode? We’ve got you covered with this guide, where we’ll also provide tips and tricks. With that said, let’s get into it!

Complete Gun Fight New Mode

Here’s a brief overview of what you should expect in the Soul Knight Gun Fight game mode:

  • Choose a Biome with desired difficulty
  • Choose a character – each comes with their unique Starter Weapon
  • Choose Bodyguard and Mount
  • Upgrade Starter Weapons with attachments
  • Duplicate attachments (using a glitch!)
  • Farm Coins from enemies – used for Purchasing Guns and Healer NPC
  • Defeat Final Boss at the end of each level.

Gun Fight Mode Overview

The Gun Fight mode basically simplifies the mechanics of the main game by reducing some of the grind and looting. Instead, your goal is pretty simple. Upgrade your Weapon as you progress through levels, and defeat the Boss at the end of the level. Each run will have two levels, meaning two bosses.

In total, there are three Bosses available in the game mode right now:

  • Li Jue (1st Level Boss)
  • Hua Xiong (1st Level Boss)
  • Dong Zhou (2nd Level Boss)

You can choose a character at the start – with each character having a Unique Starter Weapon. Additionally, you can choose a Bodyguard and Mount. With time, you can upgrade them with Coins that you can get from defeating enemies.

The game also gives you the option to select a Biome you want to go to when starting a Run. You’ll also have to select the Difficulty, but you will only be able to rank up with the second Biome.

Gun Fight Mode Strategy

While the Gun Fight game mode is pretty straightforward, there are certain things you can do to make the experience better and smoother. Starting off, we recommend that you focus on improving your Weapons. You can do this by purchasing or finding attachments on the map inside Chests.

Equipping attachments will ensure that your Weapon grade increases. So, try to get better Grade Attachments, or those that suit your play style more. In particular, we recommend getting the Fan Splitter that the Costume Prince has.

The projectiles split which can allow you to clear enemies faster, because of the AoE effect.

Additionally, while the game mode does require you to choose Bodyguards and Mounts, don’t pay too much attention to them. For the most part, they do not provide any real advantages.

Mounts can sometimes be useful because they have unique abilities and can allow you to move faster. But they will kick you off when you take damage, which can be a bit frustrating. Also, Update 6 has some hidden achievements that you’ll want to check out!

Instead, focus on your Weapons, as you need good Weapons to defeat Bosses in the Gun Fight mode. You might have trouble at the start, but with time, your Weapons will improve and you will be able to defeat them.

We also recommend that you farm enemies, so that you can get Coins. You can use these Coins to purchase Weapons or visit the Healer NPC. While you can also upgrade your Mount and Bodyguard with them, we recommend not doing that.

Speedrunning is also a valid strategy, but do it only if you are confident in your abilities. Speedrunning will allow you to reach the Boss faster, but may result in you getting less attachments and Coins. For the most part, you want to do this when you are comfortable with a good Weapon.

Gun Fight Attachments Duplication Method (Glitch)

Currently, there is an interesting bug present in the Gun Fight Mode of Soul Knight. It allows you to duplicate any attachments that you find on the map, when playing the game mode. You can use it to upgrade your Weapon very quickly, especially if you are just starting out.

However, the best way to take advantage of it, is to use it on extremely powerful and rare attachments. For example, the Quantum Splitter, which is one of the best attachments in the mode at the moment.

You can also get some strong Weapons in the main game through Enhancements and Helxar Infusions.

The first thing you need to do is ensure that there is an empty slot in your Inventory. After that, make sure that you also have the attachment attached to the first Weapon in your loadout. This is the attachment that will get duplicated.

After that, drag the desired attachment from the first Weapon slot with one finger. Do not place it in the empty slot yet, just keep holding it.

After that, use your other hand to select the second Weapon in your Loadout.

Once that’s done, you can now place the attachment that you were holding on to inside the empty slot in your Inventory. After that, you can navigate back to the first Weapon, and you’ll see that the attachment has duplicated on to the Weapon!

It’ll be present there in the Weapon slot as if it wasn’t removed in the first place.

However, this is a glitch, and it is likely that the Soul Knight devs will patch it soon. So, we recommend that you take advantage of it as soon as possible, before the opportunity is gone!

That’s everything you need to know about the new Gun Fight game mode in Soul Knight. It is a fairly simple mode that you should not have too much difficulty navigating. The main challenge comes from the bosses – our Update 6 guide can provide some insight with that. Hopefully, new bosses also are added to the mode with time so that there is even more variety!
