Project Smash: Monk Combo Complete Guide & Showcase

An unending combo.

Project Smash: Monk Combo Complete Guide & Showcase

Monk is the latest fighting style added to Project Smash with combo potential and we’re going to make a guide on it. This guide will be all about how to land as much hit as possible before sending your opponent flying across the horizon. Let’s go!

Monk Combo Complete Guide & Showcase

Monk is the first C-tier class in the game, bragging insanely good combo potential and recovery. It’s the next new style after Rogue. If you’re good, you can recover even at 200+% in a 1v1 situation because of how mobile the entire moveset is.

Moveset

Start with learning what each of your move does. Firstly, we have 4-hit M1 combo that deals 12% damage. It’s your basic combo that every other style has and as usual, will be your main damager in the game.

Whenever in doubt, just spam those M1s, break it off at the 3rd hit and chain with your skill.

Like every other characters, Monk also has 4 skills:

  • Move 1: Heavenly Assault, swift barrage of hits followed by a knockback, deals 22%.
  • Move 2: Palm Strike, guard breaker, combo extender, 6%.
  • Move 3: Divine Strike, can bypass guards, instantaneous knockback, 16%. Works nearly similar to Ghost Strike from Ninja, but launches yourself forward a lot better, making this a great recovery move.
  • Move 4: Leg Sweep, can bypass guards, combo extender, 7% (14% from behind).

Except for the Palm Strike, all your skills are great for recovery.

Combo Guide

Generally, Monk’s moves are very flexible. If you’re new to the whole combat system, spamming M1s is an easy way to deal average damage with knockback. Never forget that sometimes you don’t have all your skills especially after recovery.

If you’re used to Project Smash, you will realize that after every 3rd M1 hit, you can chain combo. The same applies to Monk.

Main Combo: 3xM1s, Palm Strike/Leg Sweep, M1 (cont. to 4th hit).

Max damage with Palm Strike is around 20% if you land all including the 1st M1 hit. With Leg Sweep, you can have over 30% of damage done if you maange to time it behind your opponent.

Knockout Combo: Main Combo, but end with Divine Strike or Heavenly Assault. Ending with these moves would be perfect for especially opponents on high percentage.

And that’s everything on Monk combo and showcase in Project Smash. Have fun! If you’re looking for a showcase for all the classes/characters in the game, make sure to check out our dedicated guide for that as well!
