1. Head to the Fortress Map.
2. Complete either the Quarantine Zone or Heart of the Fortress missions on Normal or Hard Mode.
3. Kill Elite enemies to get a chance for Balanced Plasma Batteries to drop!

To obtain Balanced Plasma Batteries in the game, you’ll want to go to the Fortress Map. Afterwards, you can reliably find them in two areas, the Quarantine Zone mission to the south and the Heart of the Fortress mission to the north.

When you look at the two missions, you might be inclined to farm the Quarantine Zone since it’s a faster mission. However, the elite enemy that drops the Balanced Plasma Battery has a higher spawn rate in the Heart of the Fortress. Hence, make sure that you do that mission instead!

Also, you don’t even need to complete the entire mission. With the right build, you can just rush toward the elite enemies, defeat them, and then restart the mission. Hence, you can do this repeatedly, and you can easily farm a lot of this item in a short time.
