During the story of God of War Ragnarok, you will encounter many people and many locations that gives lore to the Norse story. One of them is Freyr’s Gift, a favor that you can complete as you go through the game. While many of the games favors can be ignored, it’s important to do them so you can get some cool rewards and resources that will help you keep Kratos and his friends strong for the upcoming Ragnarok. In this guide, we show you how to complete Freyr’s Gift favor.
Freyr’s Gift Guide – God of War Ragnarok
To complete Freyr’s Gift, you first need to go to Alfheim, after that, you need to do these:
You get the favor by going to The Burrows, which cane be found in The Forbidden Sands region. From there, you approach Freyr’s statue, which automatically starts the favor.
At the base of the statue, there will be some missing crystals that needs to be put back in their places. Go up the ramp and look down here to get rid of the regenerating plant life that is keeping one of the crystals away from you.
Go back down and you should see a red wall that will open up if you wait for it. When it opens up, throw your axe at the regenerating plant life to make it drop the crystal.
Pick up the crystal and go back up the ramp. You should see a spot where you can place the crystal down. Put it there, and you will need to get the other crystal for the other spot.
At the other side of the area, there will be another bit of the plant life keeping you from continuing. Take out your axe and aim down, just below it. You will see a light coming out and aiming at the large dark goo. Throw your axe and it will rip apart the goo, letting you continue.
Before that, go back to the path where you first got the crystal for the first spot, but continue following the path instead of going to the crystal area. There is another crystal there that is powering the bridge. Take it and bring it to the other side.
Place the crystal on the spot, and the lights will hit Freyr’s statue.
Go back down to the middle spot in front of the inscriptions and take your reward. This will also finish the favor.
