Predecessor: Master Gideon Mid Lane Guide

Get that build going!

Predecessor is the newest addition to the MOBA genre and it’s a third-person one that features amazing graphics and a handful of interesting heroes to choose from. We’ve seen third-person MOBAs before and they’ve had massive success in the past so we’ll see if this game is up for the task. The genre has one of the biggest pool of players in the gaming sphere so I wouldn’t worry about the game. The game is still new though and that means a lot of players might now know how to play certain characters. In this guide we’ll show you how to play Master Gideon in Mid Lane in Predecessor.

Master Gideon Mid Lane Guide For Predecessor

Master Gideon is a ranged caster and is focused on doing burst damage against the enemy. That means you need to stack up damage to your abilities as well as the mana to sustain your attacks. When done correctly this character can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Here is how you should play Master Gideon in Mid Lane.

Cosmic Power

Cosmic Power of Gideon’s passive ability and it empowers the next basic attack after damaging an Enemy hero with an ability. When that basic attack hits it will tether the enemy slowing and deals damage over time.

What the ability doesn’t say is that it also increases the range of your basic attack!

Void Breach

Gideon’s Right Mouse Button ability is Void Breach, it deals damage all enemies in its path and slows them down but also explodes when hitting an enemy hero. As you can tell Gideon has a lot of slow abilities to make it easy for you to burst enemies.

Cosmic Rift

The main ability you’ll be using is Cosmic Rift which drops a meteor and damages anything in a small area. This is a great ability to ‘poke’ at enemies, or deal massive damage with combos.

Torn Space

Torn Space is an ability where you drop a portal somewhere and you teleport there, you also leave the two portals open for 5 seconds for any hero to go through. If an enemy hero goes through they’ll be slowed by 50%.

Black Hole

The Ultimate Ability is black hole where Gideon will summon a black hole that pulls enemies and deals damage as well. Remember that you’re vulnerable when casting the ability so what skilled players do is that they use Torn Space to teleport above enemies and cast Black Hole safely above.

Combo

The best early game combo is to start with a Void Breach, followed by a normal attack to tether the target, and then use Cosmic Rift. It’s a short and quick combo which is great for whittling down enemies in Mid lane.

Item Build

When buying items for Gideon remember to always get Magical Power and Ability Haste with Mana being the third priority. Magical Power to increase your burst damage, Ability Haste so you can keep on slowing your enemies and Mana so you can keep casting.

Congratulations you now know what’s a great build for Master Gideon on Mid Lane in Predecessor, now go out there and try it yourself.
