When it comes to Anime Videogames, there’s no denying that some of the very best games involve a collaboration between multiple shows. In this case, we’ll talk about the Roblox title that’s been making waves recently: Anime Last Stand. Specifically, we’ll be talking about the Best Story & Infinite Tier List (Update 2), just so that everyone’s up to speed!

In this handy guide, I’ll have the Tier List ready, which means I’ll be ranking characters based on their performance on both the Story as well as the Infinite modes. Let’s get going!

Best Story & Infinite Tier List (Update 2)

Story and Infinite Tierlist in Anime Last Stand.
Here’s the list! What do you think?

The very best Story Tier List includes:

  • Absolute Meta (Ground) – Dark Captain, Boat, Black Swordsman
  • Absolute Meta (Air/Hybrid) – Curse King, Mesh, Flash, Lovely Arrancar, Jenos, Strongest Sorcerer (Unmasked), Drip Lami Evo
  • Meta (Support) – Riku, Speedcart
  • Still Pretty Great – Cursed Child, Angel, Baldy (Bored), Flame Alchemist, Idol, Illusionist, Red Dragon Empress, Knight King, Lightning Swordsman
  • Not So Great – Kon (Adult), Zuffy (Timeskip), Ulmiorra, Captain Commander

As far as the Infinite Tier List goes, the list includes:

  • Absolute Meta (Ground) – Boat, Black Swordsman, Baldy (Bored)
  • Absolute Meta (Air/Hybrid) – Curse King, Mesh, Angel, Cursed Child, Lovely Arrancar, Strongest Sorcerer (Unmasked), Flash, Flame Alchemist
  • Meta (Support) – Idol, Zuffy (Timeskip), Drip Lami Evo, Riku
  • Still Pretty Great – Knight King, Red Dragon Empress, Jenos, Kon (Adult), Illusionist, Speecart
  • Not So Great – Ulmiorra, Captain Commander, Dark Captain, Lightning Swordsman

Understanding the lineup:

In this section, we’ll be talking about the individual units! While there are two different tiers, I’ll still try to make things easier by adding a General Tier for every character. Let’s get started!

S Tier (The Very Best)

  • Strongest Sorcerer (Unmasked) – Trust me, you’ll want this guy as part of your summoning goals. He’s called the Strongest Sorcerer (Unmasked), because that’s what he is. His Unlimited Void is still extremely useful, being one of the few Time Stop skills in the game.
  • Boat – Without a doubt, Boat is pretty much the very best unit to appear in the Portals Update. Not only can this unit stun, but she’s got incredible range, making her a must-play as Absolute Meta (Ground) in both Infinite and Story modes. Her 600 Placement Cost also allows you to use Boat right at the beginning, which makes her one of the most valuable units in the game.
  • Curse King – This unit is still the best in the game. Curse King pretty much is your go-to as far as Air/Hybrid goes in both game modes. He’s just that good, and honestly, you’ll have to try him out for yourself if you haven’t done so. If you’re not running Curse King, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage.
  • Black Swordsman – Here we have one of my personal favorites (primarily because he hails from Berserk), the Black Swordsman is yet another invaluable unit, prioritizing damage over everything else. This makes him a part of Absolute Meta (Ground) in both modes. Not quite as useful as Boat or Curse King, but he still makes it as an extremely high tier character.
  • Riku – While the Bleach characters haven’t exactly been breaking new ground, you do have Riku, which is still one of the best units around. The Freeze is essential in both Infinite and Story¸ which is why Riku is one of the premier Meta Support types.
  • Flash – One of the units to watch, since he recently got his evolution. He’s the very first unit in the game to have the Fear Passive. That means a combination of Stun and Damage Increase, so his placement is naturally high on the Tier List.
  • Cursed Child – Is an absolute beast. He does pretty much everything, but the problem is that his cost is going to be an issue in Story. He has three phases, and you won’t be able to get his max potential in Story mode. In Infinite however, whew boy. What a beast.

A Tier (Still Awesome)

Baldy is just so Bored in Anime Last Stand.
Baldy is just so bored, man.
  • Baldy (Bored)Are you looking to summon the plainest, most devastating superhero of them all? This rather bored looking Baldy is still one of the biggest damage dealers in the game. That’s why I placed him as part of the Absolute Meta (Ground), but he’s only just a great unit when summoned in the Story/Portals mode. While he’s edged out during the Portals mode, he’s still a fantastic unit. Will probably be the best when he’s evolved.
  • Jenos – Next, we have the Baldy’s lovable sidekick, Jenos. While he did great in the previous Update 1 (and still does pretty good work now), he’s got a replacement in the form of the next unit.
  • Lovely Arrancar – This guy pretty much does everything Jenos does, but a little bit better. Essentially, they are the same unit, only this guy’s pushing the envelope a little more. That said, both Jenos and Lovely Arrancar rank similarly in the meta (still fantastic units).
  • Flame Alchemist – No contest, the best Burn Unit in the game. This gives the Flame Alchemist a place in the Absolute Meta (Air/Hybrid) in Infinite. He’s not quite as useful in Portals, and he’s quickly overshadowed by other powerful units there. It’s fine, however, as Flame Alchemist is still one of the most popular units in the game.
  • Idol – While not quite as useful as Riku in both game modes, you’ll still want to run Idol in the Infinite mode. In fact, you’ll probably want to run Idol over Riku as far as priorities go when you’re playing that mode. Otherwise, she’s only Still Pretty Great in Story, but I wouldn’t hold that against her. That said, if you’re playing with multiple players, you’ll have to plan out who has Idol.
Angel in Anime Last Stand.
What an angel.
  • Angel – If we’re talking about Infinite mode, Angel is actually a pretty fantastic unit, especially if you aren’t using Black Swordsman. She does decent damage early on, and really picks up the pace, making her a decent pick in Story as well.

B Tier (Decent)

  • Mesh – Mesh is all about damage, but it’s a slow grind. This makes him particularly useful in the infinite meta, but he’s still awesome in Story. That 1k Placement Cost isn’t too awful when you consider what this guy can dish out.
  • Red Dragon Empress – The interesting thing about this unit is the fact that she could be Meta in Infinite. Unfortunately, the other units edge her out and are simply easier to use. Still, Shinigami Red Dragon Empress kicks all sorts of butt due to her range and damage.
  • Kon (Adult) – While Boat and the Black Swordsman make an excellent case for some of the best units in the game, unfortunately Kon (Adult) has fallen off. Not only is it too costly to utilize Kon (Adult) in the current meta, but he only makes it in the Pretty Great Units tier in Infinite, where he used to be part of the Absolute Meta before.
  • Illusionist – This one hurts the soul to say, but Illusionist is no longer a meta unit. In fact, without the Avatar, he’s outright useless. Without Avatar Illusionist, I don’t think there’s any reason to bother. That said, because he can STILL do some work — despite the fact that many other units do better — I’ll still put him at Still Pretty Great.
Even Speedcart is Afraid in Anime Last Stand.
Even Speedcart is afraid!
  • Speedcart – Now, the reason why I suggested to plan out who has Idol is because the rest will probably use Speedcart. An excellent support overall, and definitely one of the best supports in the Story mode. That said, Idol takes priority over Speedcart in Infinite if you aren’t playing with others.

C Tier (Could Be Worth It)

  • Knight King – This one’s another personal favorite of mine being from the Fate series. Unfortunately, despite being pretty useful and ranked highly in the previous update, Knight King is only Still Pretty Great when it comes to both game modes. While it’s a shame, it could still be worse — she could be Captain Commander.
  • Drip Lami Evo – Is a pretty fantastic Meta Support because of her Electrify. The interesting thing about this is if you’re using Cursed Child in his Electrify Phase, it can be argued that you don’t need Drip Lami Evo in Infinite. That said, she’s not a one trick pony, which is why she’s part of the Absolute Meta in Story/Portals.
  • Dark Captain – This is the unit that matches Boat as far as Meta Ground usefulness in the Story mode. He’s considered a starter unit because similar to Boat, he’s easy to use. However, his kit just doesn’t help him out when you consider all the other character you can use in Infinite. This makes him one of the more polarizing units, as he’s fantastic in one, and almost useless in the other.
  • Zuffy (Timeskip) – Despite the fact that this unit is the protagonist of the great One Piece series, he doesn’t really find any use in the Story mode. He’s outgunned by way too many units. That said, he does have a Stun, making him one of the more useful units in Infinite.

D Tier (Don’t Bother)

  • Ulmiorra – Yes, he’s not actually the worst unit all things considered, but if you don’t have him, there’s no point in the grind. If you’re a fan of the character in Bleach and you want to have him for collection purposes, then it’s fine. Otherwise, he’s in the Not So Great Units category for both.
  • Lightning Swordsman – He has Electrify, but he’s pretty much overshadowed by Drip Lami Evo and Cursed Child. I wouldn’t bother with this one.
  • Captain Commander – Similar to Ulmiorra, the Captain Commander is ranked lowest on both game types. Honestly, I would just tell you guys not to bother with this one, unless you’re such a huge fan of his character. There’s hardly anything to talk about other than the fact that he doesn’t do anything particularly well.
Wave 6 in Anime Last Stand.
Just Wave 6? We can keep going!

That’s it! Did the Tier List help?

This is pretty much the definitive Anime Last Stand Best Story & Infinite Tier List (Update 2). That said, if more updates come in the future (and it most certainly will), you can expect me to be back with yet another updated Tier List!
