There is a new event in season 2 – The Rival Router, better known as the Rival Bomb if you fail it. It can be very fun and interesting to do it. Here I’ll do a little guide on how to do it better. Let’s get started.

Rival Router Guide – Deep Rock Galactic

As soon as you enter a cave that contains a router, it should be pretty easy to notice the antennas scattered around the place. The Core makes a pretty loud and unique noise too. It’s not possible to trigger this event without interacting with it directly so there is really no risk of accidentally setting it off.

How you approach is up to you. Deal with the bugs inside the cave, maybe avoid them, maybe take them down.

When you are ready to start, approach the core, and move the relays. Now you can spot that all of the open dishes will become closed, except one. That would be the incredibly bright blue. You can also spot the light on the cable going to it.

You will need to Hack it and play that minigame where you have to time it perfectly next to the lines to be able to cut them.

You can see the Hazard level and the timer on your left corner. You must finish this farming until it reaches 0. If you have more players with you, it affects how much you need to hack. When you finish hacking it, the core will shut down and give you your Data Cell.

  • For 1 player Solo – 5 minutes and 3 hacks
  • For 5 players Solo – 2:30 minutes and 3 hacks
  • For 5 players Group – 2:30 minutes and 5 hacks

I hope this helped. Good luck!
