Fastest Way To Reset 1-20 (0 True Reset, F2P-friendly)
We’re going to show you the way to do Reset 1-20, the best bosses to grind and which equipment to use against them. Speaking of bosses, why don’t you also check out this guide on how to beat HIM and get True Reset?
Reset 1 & 2
For Reset 1 & 2, the runs are all the same with the only difference that you should try grinding the Reaper in Reset 2 at halfway point. Keep reading below for the details.
First, we’re going to recommend the Toxin Sans Blaster for weapon and Toxin’s Determination for armor. Head into the Solo Tears in the Rain Sans with this set.
- Until Level 30: Use Toxin Blaster to kill the boss on last shot, alternatively, Kris’s Blade also works. The Real Bone Sword with Real Sans Power are better alternatives. Using 2 pineapples allow you to one-shot the boss as long as you dodge his hits.
- Until Level 35: Grind Dust Tale Sans using Sans’ Eye Flame with King Multiverse Blade for the walk and jump boosts.
- For Reset 2, at Level 50 grind the Reaper for Reaper Scythe.
- Until Level 85: You can grind for at Xtale!Sans, but if you have a better set/equipment, Dream Sans is recommended. If you can one-shot Dream Sans, you can progress faster.
- Until next reset: Grind the Ink Sans. You should be able to one-shot him using still the King Multiverse Blade. This is where you can grind for a lot of gold here.
Reset 3
You’re ideally set for Reset 3 if you have Real Bone Sword and Real Sans Power. If you don’t have those, Toxin Sans Blaster and Toxin’s Determination are great alternatives.
- Until Level 35: same as previous
- At Level 35, grind Story Shhft Chara for True Determination armor (not Mandatory, but good if you can get it).
- At Level 85, grind Ink Sans as he’s still more profitable.
Reset 4-7
Starting Reset 4, you should be able to feel your progress running at a faster pace. Repeat the same pattern with a few sidetracks as detailed below:
- At Level 50, grind Sudden Changes when you can one-shot or use a Blaster on him.
- At Level 85, grind Ink Sans as he’s still more profitable.
- At Reset 7, grind Alter Tale Toriel for the armor (not Mandatory, but good if you can get it).
Reset 8-20
From Reset 8 until Reset 20, you’ll be grinding a lot of Glitch Tale Sans.
At this point, you should have Real Bone Sword and Real Sans Power which allows you to oneshot the boss. Don’t upgrade it to J Fading Power because you could get it from J himself with a 3% chance.
- If at any point you really need money, farm Ink Sans. Otherwise stick to Glitch Tale Sans.
- At Reset 10, the Dust Fell Sans drops Broken Papyrus’ Bone which is a better version of the Toxin Sans Blaster.
And that’s how you can breeze through Reset 1-20 in Undertale Last Reset for your first True Reset.
