Genshin Impact Walk Around and Look for Clues

The plot thickens in Genshin Impact as we continue to probe into the prison community of the Fortress of Meropide. Childe isn’t yet found, but we’re starting to touch the surface of the mysterious “hidden rules” before we’re suddenly served what can only be described as either attempted poisoning or just genuinely, exotic purple meat.

After a long day of work, it’s time to collect clues and the game is telling you to “walk around and look for clues.” Where do you go after this?

As usual, clicking on the Archon Quest will show you trails of where you should go. You can also read the quest description here to check the progress of the quest.

Clicking “Navigate” will reveal three points you have to check around the Fortress of Meropide.

Now there’s a certain feature that you might have not noticed. Some of the areas are marked with a full circle and others, with dashed lines.

Full circle means you’re on the same floor with the objective. In this case, the closest area to check when you get the quest is on the same floor as where the Cafeteria is.

Speak to the NPC Fitzroy located not far from the cafeteria. If you don’t remember him, Fitzroy was the guy who turned into a nervous wreck while talking to Duke Wriothesley.

Next, click on the objective in the south. When you click it note which Waypoint’s surface indicator turns blue.

Use that Waypoint to immediately teleport to that floor for the fastest navigation. Alternatively, you can follow the trail and ride the elevator to that floor.

Here where the Clockwork Mekas are assembled, find the NPC Deakin and talk to him. Deakin seems to remember your names well and treats you guys better after Wriothesley’s hospitality.

Then speak to Sigewinne hanging around on the outer circle of the area. You’re going to note that she’s not in her usual post, the infirmary.

Don’t miss the small indicator next to her for a Common chest with Credit Coupons inside!

Walk Around & Look for Clues Deakin and Rowan

Head over to the final area using the same method as I mentioned before to find the closest Waypoint. Once you’re in this area, speak to both Rowan and Lynette.

Rowan is the NPC who will give you a clue. Lynette will give you 400 Credit Coupons. Then head up the stairs in front of Rowan and into the alley to trigger another cutscene for another clue.

Leave this alley and go to the alley next to this one, the one that has the NPC Fielding standing in front of it. This is your room. Sleep to finish the current quest progress.

And that’s basically it for the first part of “Walk Around & Look for Clues” section of the quest. Afterward, proceed with the quest whether that’s doing work at the Production area or finally betting at the Pankration Ring.

Afterward, you’ll enter the second part of “Walk Around & Look for Clues.” Teleport to the same floor as the Cafeteria and head to the area on the right.

Speak to the Promoter in this area who will complain about how the Duke had rejected his proposal on the basis that he doesn’t understand the value of the coupons.

Well, the Duke certainly doesn’t know about our gacha lifestyle.

The other one is all the way to the south inside this alley that leads to the elevator. Use it to go down one floor into the Pankration Ring area.

To the right is an indicator near the stacks of paper that’ll lead to a clue about a new product development. And if you go to the left, talk to Collins for another clue. He reveals that Fonta is the sponsor behind the tournament.

Teleport back to the Cafeteria and there’ll be a series of dialogues between you and Paimon. The quest concludes after you’ve done all the Stage Objectives (hold V on PC to check) and will progress to the next one, “Lost in Deep Seas.”
