Sometimes when you’re going through a game you find an item that you have no idea how it works. You don’t want to throw it away because it might be important! What if it’s needed for progression or a quest? That’s why you should know what they do first!
In Hades 2, there are a lot of materials and resources that you can get throughout the game. One of those resources is Moon Dust and at first glance, it looks important. That’s because it is and is a key resource for getting bonuses!
In this guide, we’ll show you how to use Moon Dust in the game. We’ll go through where you exactly use it and why you should keep this item at all costs! Now, let’s see what’s so special about this one!
How To Use Moon Dust
There are a lot of different items that you can get in the game, and some are more useful than others. If you find yourself in possession of Moon Dust, then don’t throw it away! This item can be used to give more bonuses to Arcana Cards so here’s how you can use them!

Here are the steps that we’ll be taking to use Moon Dust:
- Get Moon Dust from the Wretched Broker.
- Go to the Meditation area and Meditate.
- Press the Enter Key or the X-button to use Insights.
- Use Moon Dusts to upgrade Arcana Cards!

Detailed Walkthrough
When you get Moon Dust in the game, you can check your inventory for its description. It reads “Mostly used for unleashing the full potential of Arcana Cards.” As it states, you’ll need it for Arcana Cards, but what does it do to them?
If you go and meditate with your character, you can choose the different Arcana Cards in the game. On the lower right area of the screen, you’ll see the button that you’ll need to press to use the Moon Dust. For PC, it’s the Enter Key and for controllers, it’s the X-button.
Make sure you have enough to upgrade the cards!
When you press the button, it’ll change the view a bit and when you hover over cards you can see what it does. Moon Dust is used to upgrade the Arcana Cards often increasing the bonuses permanently. So, you’ll want to have a lot of these items to maximize their effects!
