How to Decorate Dream Home in Starfield

Decorating your dream home!

Starfield is a vast and beautiful game that allows players to explore the farthest reaches of space. Taking inspiration from No Man’s Sky, this game improves on it in every possible aspect while integrating RPG mechanics into it.

You can also customize and decorate your home in Starfield, but many players are not aware of how to do it. This guide will focus on how to decorate your home in the game.

How to Decorate Dream Home

To start off, you need to know how to enter Build Mode since this allows you to decorate your house. Simply equip the scanner inside your house, and you should see a Decorate option at the bottom of the screen.

Once you are in Build Mode, you can channel your inner architect and go haywire inside your house. All of the structures that you can build are visible in the catalog, as shown in the image below.

Additionally, you can also use the controller bumpers to switch categories and view additional structures. Make sure that you have the available materials required to build different structures.

Build Mode

There is one additional trick that you can leverage using the build mode. If you have any trinkets that you would like to display to show off your adventure, you can display them as well.

For this, simply drop the required item on the floor and then enter build mode. When you hover above the item in this mode, you should be able to move it.

This can allow you to showcase all the rare items that you stole or looted from powerful enemies. Good luck with decorating your dream house into something out of a fairy tale.
