There are many things that will inevitably kill you in Lethal Company, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that the name of the game pretty much warns you of that fact. If you’re new to the game, here are some things to keep in mind for each of the moons, as well as some general tips that will hopefully help improve your chances of success.

Complete Guide to Every Moon + Tips & Tricks

First of all, before you travel to any of the moons in Lethal Company, you should be aware that they may be affected by random weather effects throughout your run.

Lethal Company ship

These can range from relatively harmless conditions to straight up incredibly dangerous effects that will lead to your crew’s immediate deaths. Here are all of the possible weather effects:

  • Rainy – Pools of quicksand can spawn on the ground, though they are relatively easy to avoid and are otherwise harmless unless you stay on them for too long.
  • Stormy – During stormy weather, you can be struck by lightning whenever you’re holding onto any metallic objects. To avoid getting hurt this way, immediately drop what you’re holding if it starts sparking.
  • Foggy – As the name implies, it will be incredibly foggy, and it can be really hard to see while you’re outside.
  • Flooded – The map will get progressively more flooded, which can potentially lock you out of certain paths to and from your ship.
  • Eclipsed – It is best to avoid moons that are currently experiencing this, as enemies will immediately spawn outside under this condition.

Next, we’ll be getting into some tips for each of the moons in the game. If you need help on how to navigate to and from their entrances and fire exits, we have a more detailed guide: Lethal Company: How to Navigate All Moons Guide | Shortcuts & Exits.

Moon 1 – Experimentation

Experimentation is the easiest moon in the game. The only enemies that you can encounter outside will be Earth Leviathans and Eyeless Dogs.

The inside of the facility, as with every other moon, is procedurally generated, which means that it will not be the same for every run. However, the enemies you will encounter inside will almost always be the same.

The following is what you have to watch out for in Experimentation:

  • Bunker Spiders
  • Snare Fleas
  • Hygroderes
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Spore Lizards
  • Thumper
  • Bracken
  • Ghost Girl (very rare)

Simply keep an eye out for any monsters and try not to get killed as you navigate through the facility. This map is incredibly easy and you are unlikely to die if you don’t linger too long.

Moon 2 – Assurance

The outside enemies on Assurance are the same as Experimentation’s, but with the addition of Baboon Hawks and, very rarely, Forest Keepers.

Inside, you will be facing the following monsters:

  • Snare Fleas
  • Spore Lizards
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Hygroderes
  • Bunker Spiders
  • Thumper
  • Bracken

The only thing to keep in mind here is that you have to be careful when making your way back to the ship, as you may not be used to the distance if you have only been playing on Experimentation thus far.

Memorize the paths to and from the entrance and fire exit so that you don’t get cornered by any of the exterior enemies.

Moon 3 – Vow

Forest Keepers commonly spawn in this map, so be incredibly careful while you’re outdoors. In order to avoid them, the best strategy is to simply finish your looting run before the sun goes down.

If you ever do have to deal with them, break line of sight by using the environment to your advantage. Run behind the many hills and trees until you’re in the clear.

The indoor enemies to watch out for in this map are the following:

  • Bracken (high spawn rate)
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Snare Fleas
  • Bunker Spiders
  • Spore Lizards
  • Hygroderes
  • Thumper
  • Coil-Head (very rare)

Moon 4 – Offense

Similar to the previous map, you will want to finish up as soon as possible in Offense due to all of the enemies that can spawn outside at night.

You’ll also want to rush through the inside before you get too many enemies to spawn, as there is a high likelihood that multiple Coil-Heads show up, which can be incredibly hard to navigate around.

The enemies to watch out for here are the following:

  • Thumpers (more common)
  • Bunker Spiders
  • Hygroderes
  • Snare Fleas
  • Coil-Heads
  • Spore Lizards
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Bracken

Moon 5 – March

Although the entrance in March is easily accessible, you are also more likely to get caught by outside creatures here due to the lack of space to run around in, so try not to linger too long on the moon.

The inside creatures here will be similar to Offense, but with their spawn rates shifted around, so you may encounter more Bracken and less Coil-Heads here.

Moon 6 – Rend

Rend is the first of the “expert” level moons, and you will immediately notice how the outside is incredibly dark and foggy, with only lights guiding your way.

It is also the first map that has a different type of interior aesthetic and layout as the typical bunkers from earlier moons. With that, you also have a different set of enemies to deal with:

  • Coil-Heads (common)
  • Jesters (common)
  • Bracken (common)
  • Bunker Spiders
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Snare Fleas
  • Hygroderes
  • Ghost Girl (way more common than before)

This map can be a pain to deal with due to the common combination of CoilHeads and Bracken, as well as the incredibly dangerous Jester and Ghost Girl, which you should try to avoid at all costs.

Moon 7 – Dine

Dine is the first moon that will have a chance to spawn every single indoor monster, so be prepared for literally anything to happen as you navigate the inside.

Luckily, this also means that multiple copies of the same monster are less likely to spawn at once, so you probably won’t have to deal with several Coil-Heads or Jesters in a single run.

Outside, there will be more Earth Leviathans compared to Rend, but Forest Keepers can still show up here. Because of this, the general strategy for this map is to finish your looting run by the first half of the day.

Moon 8 – Titan

Finally, Titan is the hardest moon in the game. Despite the short distance from the entrance to the ship, there is also a very high spawn rate for Eyeless Dogs outside.

In addition to that, pretty much every indoor enemy can spawn in the indoor portion of the map, which, unlike the other “expert moons”, is a bunker layout.

For this map, you should ideally have various equipment on hand when navigating the inside. A zap gun can help you temporarily stop a Jester’s windup.

A radar-booster or boombox can also help you determine where the entrance is much easier, which will come in extremely handy if you’re being followed around by a Jester while inside.

Also, you should know that you can simply drop your loot off the ledge outside, allowing you to pick it up later once you’ve made it down to your ship.

And those are all the tips we have for you. Now get out there and start making a profit for the company!
