We all love the story of a single developer making an Indie Game that blows up and becomes loved by many. We’ve seen it in Stardew Valley and now we’re seeing it again with Lethal Company. It’s a game with a simple premise but with friends, it becomes one of the best co-operative horror games out there. There’s a lot to learn in this game if you’re playing it for the first time, like scanning things.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can scan monsters in Lethal Company. It’s something not a lot of players know you can do. Let’s find out how you can do that!
How to Scan Monsters
When going around the map in Lethal Company you might find all sorts of monsters. Some of them can kill you outright while others give you a scare first before ending you.
That or you hear your friends scream and you start running without even seeing it at all. You can scan these monsters using your right mouse button.

Unlike scanning objects, scanning monsters can be a bit finicky. Sometimes, it doesn’t register the monster right in front of you, so you’ll want to adjust your view. Make sure the monster is in full view and spam right-click until you see the scanning effect then hold it.
You know you’ve scanned a monster if you see the words “New creature data sent to the terminal!” Now, I suggest you run away!
