Nightingale isn’t just your standard survival game, but as is tradition in the genre, every player starts off with very humble beginnings. In this guide, we’ll show you how to complete one of the very first objectives in the game, which is to build a stick tent.

How to Get Stick Tent

Early on in the game, one of the ways it introduces you to the crafting system is with the objective “Construct a temporary shelter.”

Once you reach this point of the game, press the B button to bring up the Guidebook containing the necessary crafting recipes.

Under the “Survival” category, you will find the Stick Tent recipe, which calls for the following materials:

  • 6x Plant Fibre – Gathered from small bushes or plants near the water.
  • 12x Sticks – Can be collected from small trees found all around the starting area.

Upon collecting all of the necessary resources, bring up the Guidebook once more and click on the Stick Tent icon. Press the Place button and find a nice flat area to build it on.

Once the building has been placed, approach it and press the E button to automatically add resources and complete the structure. If you have enough plant fibre and sticks, that should be done in one go!

While it pales in comparison to what you will be building later on, the Stick Tent is a form of shelter that will shield you from the elements, which can be particularly helpful in harsh realms.
