Complete Beginner’s Guide

Pet Catchers, a delightful merge between the monster-catching element of Palworld and familiar elements from Pet Simulator 99. If you’ve played any of those games, the environment is no longer one you’re not unfamiliar with.

Whether you’re a veteran mosnter-catcher or a newbie, this guide will have everything you need to know abotu the game on release:

Spawn Area

Start by talking to the Catching Guide at the Starter Area. She’s the NPC that stands next to the leaderboard. Finish all her quests, catch the monsters she asks for, and get your reward. Here’s where you get a tutorial about how to catch them.

You can see the rarity of monsters from the stars on them. And if they’re four-star, you will see their spawn being announced in chat. Make use of Legendary or Epic Balls to get them!

Claim your free code: RELEASE. Claim this by clicking on the Extra icon and then Codes under the Twitter logo, then input the code there. This code will give you coins and a Coin Elixir, great for when you’ve just started the game.

Upgrades & Beacons

Pet Storage unlocks more pets to store in the game and is one of the first upgrades you get. Beacons allow you to teleport to different areas in the world for free. Unlocking both of these features cost coins, so they’re very much worth it.

As you open new areas, you will find more new upgrades to get. They are all worth to get, so make sure to unlock them all once you can afford them.

Hoverboard

Get a hoverboard which is similar to the other game by finishing the quest with Phony Hawk. Alternatively, the gamepass gives you faster rockets.

Shrines

Make use of the shrines that are just a little past the Spawn Area to the left. These shrines give free rewards and can be used every 10 minutes.

Unlocking Your First Boss (King Slime)

To get access to the boss, you need to finish quests from the Blacksmith just across the King Slime entrance. The harder it is, the more loot you get. Luckily, you can adjust the difficulty every time you attempt it.

Battle system is very easy here. All you need to do is jump to dodge the Slime’s attacks. Health does not regenerate in this game.

Merchant & Crafting (Epic Egg)

Auburn Woods where you fight the King Slime also has the Merchant and Crafting. Merchant is great to get items by paying coins and they’re mostly great deals.

Crafting is also a great way to hatch some good pets. Crafting Elite Mystery Eggs are so much more worth it. Make sure to hatch them in your best area because that’s what it depends on!

• Mystery Egg costs 4k.
• Elite Mystery Egg costs 5 Mystery Eggs, 5 Rare Cubes, and 50k coins. (Total: 74,750 coins)

• Rare Cube costs 950 coins.
• Epic Cube costs 10 Rare Cubes and 8k coins. (Total: 17,5k coins)
• Legendary Cube costs 30 Epic Cube and 500k coins. (Total: 1,025m)

Get your free cube here by interacting with the button next to the pond. Stand on the button, then climb up the stairs to get your free loot. And the quests which will unlock the lower area where there are upgrades, Auto-Delete feature, and most importantly more quests that give rewards.

Miscellaneous Things

There are a lot to do in this game aside from just opening new areas and moving on. From finishing your monster collection to beating the bosses.

• Fishing Achievement! If you catch all the fishes, you can get the Sea Champion. You can check out what it looks like at the 5th area, Sunset Shores.
• Merchants refreshes every nnd then. They have really good offers so don’t miss out.
• Shrines give free rewards on 2nd area and 5th area.
